David Walliams still has ''a lot of love'' for Lara Stone.
The 43-year-old comedian is reportedly undergoing a trial separation from his wife - with who he has 21-month-old son Alfred - but is hoping they will soon get things back on track for the sake of their little boy.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''It is only a trial separation at the moment and not a final split.
''David still hopes they can get things back on track for him and their son Alfred. He still has a lot of love for Lara.''
It has been claimed one of the reasons for their split was that the 31-year-old model hated speculation about her husband's sexuality because of his cross-dressing TV roles and perceived ''flirting'' with fellow 'Britain's Got Talent' judge Simon Cowell.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Lara didn't like constant talk about him being camp.
''She didn't really understand the humour of it.''
It is believed Lara moved out of their North London home with their son and dog Bert after the couple - who married in 2010 - experienced problems for several months.
Yesterday (04.03.15), following the revelation of their split, David was pictured in London looking tired and glum but still wearing his wedding ring.
