British funnyman David Walliams has fallen sick with a stomach bug as he continues his marathon charity swim.
The Little Britain star is raising money for Sport Relief by swimming 140-miles (225-kilometres) along England's River Thames from Gloucestershire to Big Ben in London.
Walliams set off on the eight-day trek on Monday (05Sep11), and has battled difficult conditions, forcing him to change into a wetsuit after his skin turned blue due to the cold water.
Overnight on Tuesday (06Sep11) he fell ill, but the comedian took to the river again on Wednesday morning (07Sep11) to continue the swim.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, a representative for Sport Relief writes, "David has woken up with an upset stomach - Thames Tummy. Didn't sleep well at all... Despite the bug he's picked up though David is back in the water aiming for another 18 miles today... Made it to Culham Lock. Dehydration is a serious issue with this stomach bug. David in the worst shape of the swim so far. Really very poorly."
