David Walliams is to officially end his 5-year marriage with model wife Lara Stone today (10.09.15) after separating in March of this year.
David Walliams is reportedly officially divorcing wife Lara Stone today (10.09.15).
The 'Britain's Got Talent' panelist and Dutch model will attend London's Central Family Court to formally end their five-year marriage in as little as six weeks if a decree nisi is granted and David, 44, is finding it ''tough'' and just wants the best for his young son according to a friend.
A friend told The Sun newspaper: ''It's been tough on him but he wants to do whatever is best for Alfred and have a great relationship with Lara for his sake.''
The couple - who have two-year-old son Alfred - had gone their separate ways back in March, when the 31-year-old blonde beauty left their family home in North London taking with her their son.
The comic star was still wearing his wedding band on their fifth anniversary two months after they had separated in May and is believed to have travelled to Los Angeles to be with his friend and fellow comedian 'The Late Late Show' host James Corden.
The couple first met and began dating in 2009 and married a year later in 2010 at London's Claridge's Hotel, an elaborate affair with Lara's gown priced at £30,000 and three years later they announced they were expecting a child.
A spokeswoman for David declined to comment and Lara's representatives are yet to speak.
