The former Doctor Who star recently welcomed a daughter, his third child with his actress wife Georgia Moffett, who also has a son from a previous relationship, according to British newspaper the London Evening Standard.

David adopted his wife's little boy, and they are now said to be parents to four kids following the new arrival this month (Nov15).

The Scottish star, who is notoriously private about his personal life, reportedly confirmed the baby news during a gathering of his neighbours at a community meeting in London.

During the meeting, David discussed his plans to add an extra storey to the family's home in Chiswick, west London following a backlash from fellow residents, and urged locals to get behind the scheme because the couple desperately needs more space to house their growing brood.

"We love Chiswick, we don't want to live anywhere else," he told his neighbours. "We cherish everything about the area - we want to grow old here. It would break their (the kids') hearts if they had to move on and live elsewhere."

However, David failed to convince members of a local conservation group, the West Chiswick and Gunnersbury Society, who remain opposed to his plans.

"We were somewhat surprised when he spoke at the meeting, but pleased," Marie Rabouhans, chairman of the group tells British newspaper the London Evening Standard. "Being an actor, he obviously spoke very well. He wasn't doing his Hamlet, but he spoke very passionately.

"But the proposed plans are just not in keeping with the area. We believe this case to be a matter of principle and, if allowed, it would disrupt the traditional scale associated with the detached Victorian houses.

"It's just a pity his home is not a bit more like the Tardis and it was bigger on the inside than he first thought."

David and Georgia met on the set of Doctor Who after she was cast as his onscreen daughter, and the couple married in 2011.

Representatives for the actor had yet to respond to a request for comment as WENN went to press.
