The Doctor Who star David Tennant was among the celebrities to be auctioned off for Centrepoint's annual charity quiz. For the 'showbiz' round of the quiz, the teams - made up of London business workers - could bid for a choice of David Tennant, Jorgie Porter, Hugh Grant and JONATHAN to help them to victory. The money raised from the quiz was all donated to the Centrepoint charity, who support the needs of homeless young people in London.
According to the Press Association, the quiz was presided over by the TV host Fern Britton and in the past, the "light-hearted" quiz has raised £50,000 for the charity. A spokesperson from Centrepoint said "It was our best Ultimate Pub Quiz yet and the first in the Centre Point Tower, it couldn't have gone much better." The eventual winners were Herbert Smith LLP, an international law firm.
Earlier this week, DAVID TENNAT was named Best Actor at the BBC Audio Drama Awards. He was awarded the title for his performance in the Radio 3 drama Kafka: The Musical. Tennant is set to appear in The Decoy Bride, a romantic comedy in which he stars alongside Kelly MacDonald and Alice Eve. The screenplay is written by Sally Phillips, the comedian known for her appearances in sitcoms and sketch shows such as Miranda, Smack the Pony and Green Wing.
