Ever since Cameron Monaghan made his debut in 'Gotham' as Jerome Valeska, viewers have been speculating as to his future identity. Thousands instantly thought he was the young version of a man who would one day become the instantly recognisable DC Comics villain the Joker, but that's been denied on multiple occasions by those working on the show.

Despite that, red herrings have been thrown the viewers' way throughout the three and a half seasons we've seen to-date, and the flames of the Joker fire have been fanned over and over again. Monaghan's performance has been lauded as a fantastic one, and the majority of 'Gotham' viewers would love to see him become the Clown Prince of Crime.

As one of the most successful comic book shows on television right now, 'Gotham' has cemented a place for itself on FOX and brought an all-new look at the heroes and villains-in-the-making of Gotham City to fans across the globe. On a different network to the four shows that make up the 'Arrowverse' - 'Arrow', 'The Flash', 'Supergirl' and 'Legends of Tomorrow' - the plausibility of a crossover between those four shows and 'Gotham' seems slim, but not impossible.

It's something fans have been asking for, for some time, and we must remember that when 'Supergirl' first debuted, it was on CBS. The network at that point allowed the show to crossover with 'The Flash', despite the series being on separate channels, so it's not out of the realm of possibility for 'Gotham' to meet the 'Arrowverse' in the near future.

'Arrow' was seeing huge success on The CW, paving the way for shows such as 'The Flash', 'Legends of Tomorrow' and 'Supergirl', with FOX hoping to pick up some of that loving with their own series. David Mazouz will play Bruce Wayne in Fox's origins series 'Gotham'.
David Mazouz, 12, best known for playing the young lead opposite Kiefer Sutherland in 'Touch' is to play Bruce Wayne in Fox's Batman prequel 'Gotham'. Mazouz will play the iconic comic book character who will grow up to become the Caped Crusader himself. He was famously played by Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight triology.

Also cast in the new project is Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle - or Catwoman. In the new series, she will play a teenage orphan and a skilled street thief and pickpocket who is dangerous when cornered. As Deadline.com point out, it's impossible to ignore Bicondova's resemblance to Michelle Pfeiffer, the actress behind the most memorable Catwoman portrayal.
