Moviemaker David Lynch is to step in front of the cameras to star in his daughter's new film about the hunt for a serial killer.
The Twin Peaks director will portray the father of Tim Roth's homicide detective character in Jennifer Lynch’s new feature A Fall From Grace.
Lynch insists she didn’t write the role with her father in mind, but adds, "I was thinking of him because he calls up so many powerful and yet fragile elements in my life and because this character is strong but broken down by dementia."
And her dad insists he won't be trying to tell his daughter how to do her job on set, adding, "I will be putty in Jen’s hands."
A Fall From Grace is scheduled to shoot this summer (13).
Jennifer is not the only one of Lynch's kids he's helping to get their filmmaking career off the ground - he's donated to his son Riley's Kickstarter.com page, which the student set up to fund a movie project.
