The Foo Fighters Gained A New Frontman During A Gig On The Band's U.k. Tour Last Week (Ends31may15) After Dave Grohl Invited An Eight-year-old Fan Onto The Stage To Sing.
The rocker spotted the young boy singing along from the audience at the group's show in Manchester, England last Wednesday (27May15) and offered to dedicate the track Times Like These to him, saying, "I just saw this little kid singing our lyrics right there... How old are you? You're eight years old? And you know Foo Fighters lyrics? Alright. I like you. This one goes out to you."
Video footage then shows Grohl inviting the youngster, named only as Frankie, and his parents onto the stage to sing the track, saying, "What's that? You want him to come onstage? Come here motherf**ker. You'd better bring your dad with you too. Oh yeah, bring your mama... I ain't taking care of you, that's for goddamn sure... Come on... I'm gonna sing this verse then you are going to sing the next part with me... You know how to sing? No? Me neither."
Grohl then sang the song's chorus with the delighted youngster, who went back to the crowd with the singer's guitar pick.
