Claire Danes worried about gaining too much weight during her pregnancy.

The 'Homeland' actress, who has two-year-old son Cyrus, admits she kept a close eye on her diet while expecting him because she feels a lot of pressure to live up to Hollywood's perfect standards.

The 36-year-old star said: ''I feel like my body is monitored and commented on infinitely more than my male counterparts.

''I was mindful of what I was eating because I didn't want to look pregnant. I think I was very anxious because I was responsible for this huge show, but I had this other major project of growing a person.''

The blonde beauty, who showed off her svelte figure less than one month after giving birth in 2013 at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, insists she has gotten better at finding balance in her life, but loves having her son on set.

She told PEOPLE magazine: ''He's a 'Homeland' baby through and through. Little tiny Cyrus in the ops room, saving the world from Armageddon! He loves it.''
