Supermodel Cindy Crawford has thrown her support behind a campaign to help a young boy with leukaemia find a bone marrow donor.

Chase Foley was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia when he was four weeks old and must undergo a bone marrow transplant to save his life.

Crawford, who has been working with Delete Blood Cancer Dkms since 2007, lost her brother to the blood cancer when she was a young child, and after hearing about the two-year-old's ordeal, the beauty felt compelled to lend a hand.

She tells People.com, "I lost my little brother, Jeff, to leukaemia when I was just 10 years old. Sadly, a bone marrow transplant wasn't an option for him then.

"But today, we have the chance to save the life of little Chase Foley and countless other children. We need your help to find him a bone marrow donor."
