R&B star Ciara has blamed promoters behind her troubled tour of New Zealand for selling Vip meet-and-greet packages without her knowledge or consent after coming under fire for skipping the fan sessions.

Fans in Christchurch were left disgruntled and disappointed when the Goodies hitmaker performed there last week (ends20Feb15) and walked offstage at the University of Canterbury after a 10-minute set.

Ciara was also accused of snubbing devotees who had paid to spend time with the singer at the show Christchurch and another gig in Wellington, but, addressing the allegations, she insists she had not agreed to the meetings in the first place.

The star claims she honoured the commitments once she learned promoters had organised them behind her back, and she has since demanded they provide refunds for fans who missed out on meeting her.

Ciara shared a collage of photos with fans during one of the latest meet and greet sessions on Instagram.com on Tuesday (24Feb15) and explained her position in the accompanying caption.

The post reads: "I Am Truly Blessed With Some Of The Best Fans! It Is Is Truly Your Love And Support That Keeps Me Going!!

"This Second Leg Of Shows Are Done By Different People Than The Ones In New Zealand... That Being Said, I Have Talked With Them About Getting You Guys Compensated For Any Vip Meet and Greet You've Paid (for)!! I Don't Believe In That!!

"Furthermore, Once I Discovered These Meet And Greets Truly Existed, I Am Doing Them, However The Promoters Must Compensate You In Some Way!! I Don't Support That And They Know This. Promoters Please Don't Let Me Down! It's Your Word!! MyFansMeanEverythingToMe (sic)!"

Meanwhile, a show set to take place in Auckland on 3 March (15) has also been scrapped amid a dispute over contracts between Ciara's U.S. booking agent, a New Zealand promoter and another agency, according to the New Zealand Herald.
