One suggested that the actor was '71 in human years' but only '23 in Chuck Norris years'. The internet meme began in 2005, with a series of impossible 'facts' about Norris, accentuating his toughness, masculinity and sophistication. The most popular facts included, 'When the Bogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris' and 'When Chuck Norris does a push up, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the Earth down'. Responding to the internet phenomenon, the actor said he was happy to join in the fun, saying, "While I have as much fun as anyone else reading and quoting them, let's face it, most Chuck Norris Facts describe someone with supernatural, superhuman powers. They're describing a superman character. And in the history of this planet, there has only been one real Superman. It's not me".
Back in December 2010, Chuck Norris became an honorary Texas Ranger. Governor Rick Perry presented the actor with a commemorative certificate to confirm his membership in the famed law enforcement group.
