Prepare to jump onboard Disney's new sugar-coated adventure.
No sooner than Walt Disney Pictures' Frozen has enchanted boys and girls the world over this season, we're already looking forward to the next big animated movie.
Tinker Bell & Her Friends Team Up For A New, Swashbuckling Adventure.
Spring 2014 will bring the arrival of a new Tinker Bell adventure and another spin-off from the Peter Pan franchise, The Pirate Fairy. The fifth film in the DisneyToon Studios' Tinker Bell film series will see the brave little fairy in her green dress team up with her distinctively talented friends, Vidia, Iridessa, Fawn, Silvermist and Rosetta, for a real swashbuckler of an adventure.
Watch The 'The Pirate Fairy' Trailer:
Primetime Emmy winner Peggy Holmes ('The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning') has summoned an impressive team of actors for the new movie that will see the fairies take to the high seas to encounter pirates. Mae Whitman will reprise her titular role whilst Mad Men's Christina Hendricks will assume the part of a new fairy named Zarina and Thor's Tom Hiddlestone will play a young James Hook.
A New Fairy, Zarina, Arrives To Rock The Boat.
Zarina's presence and fascination with blue pixie dust isn't exactly welcomed and the fairies grow distrustful of the scruffy-haired sprite. "When Zarina's wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell [...] and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James [...] who'll soon be known as Captain Hook himself," said DisneyToon Studios, as reported by IndieWire.
The Brave Gang's Quest Brings Them To An Encounter With Fearsome Pirates.
Avid Tinker Bell fans will have known this movie was headed to our shores for some time after seeing the trailer featured on the Secret of the Wings DVD which was released in October 2012. Originally titled Quest for the Queen, the film was scheduled for an Autumn 2013 release but was ousted by Disney's Planes and pushed back.
The Movie Promises Laughs, Thrills & Plenty Of Adventure.
The Pirate Fairy will be released on the 14th February in the UK and the 3rd March 2014 in the USA.
