Actor Chris Pine struggled through filming for the new Star Trek movie as he regularly inhaled "debris and detritus" during action scenes.
The Hollywood hunk reprises his role as Commander/Captain James T. Kirk for Star Trek Into Darkness, but he suffered for his art as he shot sequences set in space.
He tells the New York Daily News, "They were blowing all sorts of debris and detritus that inevitably would get into your mouth and you would breathe it in.
"It was pretty intense and (sic) get in your eyes and you'd have these huge fight sequences with these fans that are so powerful and loud. It was just overwhelming to the senses."
