There was also an appearance from some of the long-past actors like Mark Addy (King Robert Baratheon in Season One), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte), who received a serenade from Kit Harington. Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell) also made a brief appearance to discuss how the whole concert was a terrible idea.

Over a year after first announcing their ‘conscious uncoupling’ Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have reportedly filed for divorce. According to TMZ, Martin and Paltrow filed the official documents on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

Gwyneth announced her separation from the Coldplay frontman last March.

The pairs’ business mangers are said to have been busy thrashing out a settlement agreement, which will divide the former couple's property and work out custody arrangement for children Moses and Apple.

Gwyneth Paltrow has accepted the challenge laid down by celebrity chef Mario Batali to live on a $29 food stamp budget for one week. The actress announced her participation in the #FoodBankNYCChallenge on Thursday, posting a picture to twitter of her week’s shop.

Gwyneth will attempt to live on just $29 a week.

"This is what $29 gets you at the grocery store—what families on SNAP (i.e. food stamps) have to live on for a week," the actress captioned a photo of her shop, which included black beans, eggs, lettuce, peas brown rice and celery.

After his days as the frontman of Coldplay are over, it seems Chris Martin wants to focus his attention on helping global issues. As the release of the British band's expected final studio album, 'A Head Full of Dreams,' approaches, the 37-year-old frontman recently announced he is now the curator of the Global Citizen Festival, for the next 15 years.

Music's biggest names should expect to get a call from Martin in the near future as he will be tasked with setting up festivals around the world for Global Citizen, which is a non-profit organisation that aims to solve extreme poverty by the year 2030. Martin's 15-year commitment also runs parallel with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a "to-do list" to end global poverty in the same year.

Nearly a year after the now infamous ‘conscious uncoupling’, actress Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up. Speaking in the February issue of Marie Claire magazine, Paltrow shed some light of her own on why she and her husband called it a day after more than a decade of marriage.

The 42 year old said: “There was nothing dramatic or anything. I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I really had the sense that I wasn’t allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall.”

This time, the 41 year-old Iron Man star talks about "the energy of consciousness" and suggests that water may be a sentient element with feelings.

"I am fascinated by the growing science behind the energy of consciousness and its effects on matter," Paltrow writes. "I have long had Dr. Emoto's coffee table book on how negativity changes the structure of water, how the molecules behave differently depending on the words or music being expressed around it," she adds, citing the work of Dr. Sadeghi, an entrepreneur who has been widely criticized for his theories.

Chris Martin has given Sunday fans at Radio One’s Big Weekend a special treat by making a special appearance, joining Kings Of Leon on stage to open the final day of the festival in Glasgow. The night before Martin and Coldplay had closed the first night of the festival, leading the crowd in a chorus of 'Fix You'.

During Coldplay’s show in New York City on Monday, May 5, Chris Martin seemed to give his condolences to The Rolling Stones frontman over the death of his partner L’Wren Scott. Scott, who committed suicide in March, had dated Jagger since 2001. From the stage, Martin simply said: “This is for Mick Jagger.”

The song, which includes lyrics like: "When tears come streaming down your face/ When you lose something you can't replace/ When you love someone and it goes to waste/ Could it be worse?" made for a pointed tribute to the tragedy.

So, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin allegedly took their decision to ‘consciously uncouple’ one step further, if that’s even possible. We’ve got to admit, as crazy as it sounds, it also sounds pretty Paltrow, so we're sort of inclined to believe there's a bit of truth to it.

Children of celebrities never have to go to normal schools where the other children will make fun of their wacky names, which means that the stars can go wild when naming their pampered offspring. There must be schools in Beverly Hills teaming with Donatello Zeuses and Princess Bananaramas. 

You don’t come across many Janes or Johns in the celeb baby world, but funnily there seems to be a few Bears going around at the moment. Kate Winslet and Alicia Silverstone both have sons called Bear, although to set mini Winslet apart his middle name is Blaze, as a reminder of the house fire that his parents first met in. Romantic.  As a side note, Winslet's husband changed his own name to Ned RocknRoll, so we're not surprised that the couple have chosen a name that is a little less out of the ordinary.

Last night, Coldplay took to the stage at Texas' South by Southwest Festival where they debuted new material from forthcoming album Ghost Stories alongside well-worn favourites. Support acts London Grammar and Imagine Dragons were big enough names for the crowd to pick out songs from each that they recognised but the former had the air of "evidently nervous musicians still working out how to feel comfortable commanding an audience," according to The Guardian's Tim Jonze.
