The actor admits he was worried about the films being "good".
Nowadays, actor Chris Evans is one of the most recognisable faces in the entertainment industry. For years now he's starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as 'First Avenger' Captain America, bringing his unique style of acting to the MCU and making a big name for himself.
Chris Evans was cautious about signing on for so many movie instalments
Of course, Captain America wasn't the first superhero the actor would be able to play, having already taken on the challenge of becoming Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch in the 2005 and 2007 movies 'Fantastic Four' and 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer'. Unfortunately for fans, that franchise fizzled out, but it didn't mean that Evans would have to stop fighting supernatural and otherworldly crime on the big screen, thanks to Marvel Studios taking a punt on the actor to bring one of their most iconic superheroes to life.

The 35 year old actor will follow in Tom Hardy's footsteps and read a bedtime story on CBeebies in May.
Marvel Cinematic Universe star Chris Evans is taking a break from saving the world as Captain America to be the next massive name to read a bedtime story for children’s channel CBeebies, it has been confirmed.
As such, the Hollywood pin-up is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow actor Tom Hardy, after the British star was a massive hit with parents watching with their children over the last few months, after he read stories on New Year’s Eve, Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day.
Chris Evans will be the latest big-name star to follow in Tom Hardy's footsteps
The actor thinks Scarlett Johansson would be up for the challenge.
Chris Evans has enjoyed the role of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for some time now. Working alongside some of the biggest names in the business, he's worked his way into the hearts of longtime comic book readers, and those new to the 'Avengers' franchise and various other Marvel Comics big screen properties.
Chris Evans as Captain America
Though his current contract may be close to expiring, he's kept his cards close to his chest as to exactly what the future holds for him in that universe. He's likely awaiting to get the nod for a new contract from the head honchos behind the various Marvel movies, or to be cut out if they've got plans to introduce a new face to take on the role of Captain America in the future.
Captain America actor Chris Evans has hinted he'd be open to returning for more Marvel movies in the future despite his contract coming up.
For over half a decade now, US actor Chris Evans has graced the big screen and the Marvel Cinematic Universe as comic book superhero Captain America; first in his own solo movie and then in a series of collaborative flicks that followed such as 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' and 'Captain America: Civil War'.

Gearing up to film the final two movies included in his current contract with the studio behind the franchise ('Avengers: Infinity War' and the currently untitled 'Avengers 4'), Evans has recently seemed to express an interest in officially bringing his time as Steve Rogers to an end.

The new series of 'Top Gear', presented by LeBlanc alone, comes to BBC2 on March 5th.
Although there were widespread reports of discontent between them during the filming of last year’s ‘Top Gear’ series, new sole host Matt LeBlanc has insisted that he had nothing to do with his former colleague Chris Evans getting the sack – instead only finding out when he read it in the papers.
Evans dramatically stepped down as ‘Top Gear’s co-host in July last year amid slipping viewing figures and rumours of behind-the-scenes disagreements with LeBlanc, despite having initially penned a three-year deal.

Following three blockbuster smashes as Captain America, Evans is atop Forbes' annual list for the second consecutive year.
The 35 year old American actor, who has played the patriotic supersoldier Captain America / Steve Rogers five times since 2011, was found to represent the best value for money in Hollywood when it comes to the bottom line. For every dollar he was paid, he generated a whopping $135.80 at the box office.
This is calculated by Forbes analysing the last three movies an actor has starred in before June 2016, excluding cameos, animated films and movies released on fewer than 2,000 screens.

The former Saturday Kitchen presenter is said to be in the running to take over from Chris Evans.
TV presenter James Martin has fuelled rumours that he could be the new host of ‘Top Gear’ following the departure of Chris Evans. Speaking to The Sun, Martin didn't deny he was in the running for the job and even admitted he’s aware that he is now one of the bookies' favourites to replace Evans.
Could James Martin be your new ‘Top Gear’ host?
“Apparently I’m the bookies’ favourite,” he told the newspaper. “I walked past a bookies in Leeds and saw my name on there, and I thought: ‘What the hell’s going on there?’ I was top of the list. But the phone hasn’t rung yet.”

The presenter was the only member of the new team to be picked through the show’s audition process.
‘Top Gear’ and ‘Extra Gear’ presenter Rory Reid has said he was surprised at the level of hostility directed towards the show when Chris Evans took over as host. The presenter likened joining the show to being ‘parachuted into a war’, but said overall it was intense but rewarding experience.
Rory Reid was part of ‘Top Gear’s’ revamped line-up.
“It’s been a very intense experience – intense is probably the best word. Way more involved than I ever thought any show could be. The level of scrutiny that the show is under has just been absolutely immense,” he told Redbull.com.

The presenters were informed of Evans' departure while they were shooting 'The Grand Tour' in Italy this week.
Former ‘Top Gear’ presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May are said to be rather pleased that the beleaguered Chris Evans announced his departure from the re-vamped BBC show earlier this week, with the latter saying he was “very chuffed” at Evans’ failure.
May and Clarkson, along with co-presenter Richard Hammond, have been filming an episode of their upcoming Amazon Prime show ‘The Grand Tour’ in the northern Italian city this week. On Monday, Evans resigned as presenter of the new ‘Top Gear’ after it flopped in the ratings, and the two ex-presenters are reportedly having a laugh about it when told.

Just days after he quit 'Top Gear', The Sun reported that his Channel 4 chat show 'TFI Friday' has been cancelled after only one series of its comeback run.
Things seem to be going from bad to worse for presenter Chris Evans at the moment – just days after he quit his high-profile co-hosting job on the re-booted ‘Top Gear’, his other TV hosting role on ‘TFI Friday’ has now vanished as the show has been axed by Channel 4.
Evans’ Friday night chat show, revived by Channel 4 in October for a ten-episode series following the well-received one-off comeback special last summer, didn’t perform as well as expected in the ratings last autumn, and the presenter has allegedly been told that it won’t be re-commissioned for another series.

Chris Evans dedicated his BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Tuesday morning (July 5) to his former ‘Top Gear’ colleagues, telling them to ‘move on’ without him. Evans stepped down as host yesterday after just one series, which was plagued by bad reviews and low ratings.
Chris Evans has told his ‘Top Gear’ colleagues to ‘move on’.
Evans told listeners: "Today's show is dedicated to all the 'Top Gear' gang. And today's show is entitled Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On.” The presenter then went on to look at the day’s newspaper front pages, many of which featured his resignation.

Evans has announced his departure from the 'Top Gear' presenting team after just one series, after Sunday night's record low ratings for its finale.
Chris Evans has quit his role as presenter of ‘Top Gear’, less than a day after the first series of his re-vamped version of the popular motoring show ended on BBC Two amid its lowest ratings yet.
The BBC Radio 2 breakfast show host, 50, took to Twitter on Monday afternoon (July 4th) to announce his departure from the show, saying he “gave it my best shot but sometimes that’s not enough.” He also paid tribute to everybody on ‘Top Gear’, describing them as “beyond brilliant”.

The show has come under criticism since its debut and viewing figures have been steadily dropping.
On Sunday night (July 3) the ‘revamped’ new series of ‘Top Gear’ came to an end, giving the troubled BBC show its lowest viewing figures yet. The series has come under fire from viewers since it’s debut back in May, with host Chris Evans coming under particular criticism.
‘Top Gear’s’ ratings continue to fall for the final episode.
The Mirror reports that the show pulled in an audience of just 1.9 million on Sunday, as it went head-to-head with the Euro 2016 quarter final match between France and Iceland. Once again fans on Twitter were quick to criticise host Chris Evans, for his ‘shouty’ presenting style.

The two presenters are said to have a frosty relationship behind the scenes.
‘Top Gear’ presenter Matt LeBlanc is reportedly ready to leave the show if co-host Chris Evans stays on. LeBlanc is thought to have already signed on for two more series of the BBC motoring show, but now bosses are left having to decide between the two presenters.
Matt LeBlanc is reportedly done with ‘Top Gear’ if Chris Evans stays on.
A show source told The Sun: “The big question now is who goes and who stays. The team does not gel at all, and the atmosphere between the presenters is decidedly frosty. It’s very much a picture of him – Chris – and them.”

The host can’t seem to move away from his yellow t-shirt, blue jeans combo.
The new series of ‘Top Gear’ is already four episodes into its run, but it seems host Chris Evans still hasn't found the time to change his outfit. Viewers of the BBC motoring show have been pointing out that the presenter, who is said to be worth £50million, has so far worn the same outfit in every episode.
Chris Evans has been mocked for wearing the same outfit on ‘Top Gear’.
Evans’ favourite outfit consists of blue jeans and a yellow t-shirt, which is either worn with a dark sweater or a leather jacket. In episode one, the yellow t-shirt was seen under a dark sweater, teamed with blue jeans.
LeBlanc’s joke was highly praised by fans, but viewers still aren't tuning in.
The new series of ‘Top Gear’ has seen its ratings fall even further, to its lowest Sunday night audience in over a decade. The drop comes as fans seem to be warming more to the show, with one joke from Matt LeBlanc on Sunday receiving particular praise.
‘Top Gear’s’ ratings have fallen further.
According to overnight viewing figures from broadcast media ratings specialists, Overnights TV, last night’s show averaged just 2.3 million viewers. That meant the show had just 10.4 per cent of the Sunday night audience share.

LeBlanc appeared on James Corden's 'The Late, Late Show' this week, and revealed why he really took the 'Top Gear' co-presenting job alongside Chris Evans.
While the newly re-launched ‘Top Gear’ might not be setting the world alight, the show’s co-presenter Matt LeBlanc has, for many, emerged as the main star. However, the American favourite has revealed that he took the job for only one reason – he needed it.
Speaking to chat show host James Corden on ‘The Late, Late Show’ on Wednesday evening (June 15th), LeBlanc admitted that he was in need of a job when he was offered it late last year.

The new series has been hit by audience figure troubles
Top Gear’s return was highly anticipated with new presenting stars Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc after the blaze of confusion which its old presenting trio left the programme before the end of the last series. However, the absence of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May has proved too much for some viewers and, despite each episode being reviewed more highly than the last, audience figures continue to drop.
Chris Evans' Top Gear presenting style has been criticised
It has now been revealed that Radio 2 breakfast show host Evans will take a less prominent role after Rory Reid and Chris Harris - presenters of online spin-off show, Extra Gear - featured in the main show for the first time and received positive reviews.
Critics and fans might be warming up to the new team, but the show still isn't managing to pull in the viewers.
Viewing figures for the new series of ‘Top Gear’ dropped to a new low for Sunday night’s episode (June 12), pulling in the lowest figures for the show in more than a decade. Overnight ratings show ‘Top Gear’ drew 2.4million viewers, down from last week's 2.8 million and dramatically lower than the 4.3million who tuned in for its debut episode.
‘Top Gear's’ viewing figures have fallen again.
However the number of viewers watching the show via catch-up services still needs to be taken into account. Viewing figures were mostly likely also affected by the show being up against BBC1’s coverage of Euro 2016 which drew 6.3 million viewers.
Though the significant drop in viewing figures looks demoralising, Evans believes enough people "love" the re-vamped 'Top Gear'.
With ratings sinking like a stone and increasing numbers of viewers sticking the boot in, new ‘Top Gear’ host Chris Evans has insisted that fans “love” the re-vamped format of the BBC motoring show.
50 year old Evans, who is presenting the new series of ‘Top Gear’ alongside American co-host Matt LeBlanc, has been criticised for being “shouty” in his presenting style and of trying to imitate former host Jeremy Clarkson. However, he has recently hit back at those criticising the new format.

The creators of 'The Lego Movie' have hinted they would like the Marvel superheroes to appear in 'The Lego Movie 2.' Here's our pick of the top five that we'd like to see.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the writer/director dream team behind the hugely successful The Lego Movie have said that they would love to feature Marvel heroes in The Lego Movie 2. The sequel, which is provisionally set to come out in May 2017, will be directed by Chris McKay, rather than Miller and Lord.
The Lego Movie won over even the harshest critics to become one of the biggest films of 2013
Both have admitted it would be difficult to make it work with Marvel in The Lego Movie 2 because of legal issues. The Lego Movie was made by Warner Bros, so they were able to use all of the DC superheroes, as they are owned by Warner. Superman, the Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash all featured in the first Lego Movie, but would Marvel allow Warner to use their characters?

Can anyone knock Captain America off the US box office top spot?
It seems there really is no defeating Captain America, as The Winter Solider has topped the US box office again for the third straight week, what's more the movie has now passed the $200million box office mark. Not fairing so well over the Easter holiday however was Johnny Depp, who is suffering another box office flop as Transcendence only managed to enter in 4th place.
Chris Evans reigns supreme as Captain America
This week, Captain America: The Winter Solider took on the star power of Johnny Depp whose new movie Transcendence opened to negative reviews. According to studio estimates, The Winter Solider took around $26 million at the box office, whilst Depp’s offering only managed $11 million, coming in on fourth place. Sadly for Depp, Transcendence marks his third box office flop in a row after The Lone Ranger and Dark Shadows.
This week's newcomer, "Transcendence", seems to be underperforming.
The weekend box office continues to offer no surprised this week, with the Johnny Depp starrer Transcendence looking like a flop and likely to take fourth place behind previous chart toppers. The real fight is once again between Marvel’s latest blockbuster, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the animated hit Rio 2. The jungle adventure (that’s Rio, in case you’re one of the few out there, who haven’t seen either) is looking likely to take the top spot this week, by the minimal margin of $2 million over Cap.
Despite Johnny Depp's star power, Transcendence is barely making a ripple at the box office.
Rio 2 is predicted to make roughly $27 million over the three day period, while Captain America is predicted similar earnings to last weekend - $25 million, according to Variety. Winter Soldier has grossed almost $510 million worldwide ($175 million domestically), while Rio 2 has tallied $177.2 million ($53 million domestically) through Thursday.

A strong second week saw the Cap' reign supreme
Captain America: The Winter Soldier fought off some pretty serious opposition to maintain its position at the top of the box office, while three newcomers usurped the majority of last week’s top 5. Box Office Mojo have the stats.
Chris Evans in Captain America: Winter Soldier
With Chris Evans reprising his role as the all-American hero, the critics have been kind to the latest instalment of Marvel’s imperious quest to move their properties onto the big screen. ‘Cap’ managed a hefty weekend gross of $41.3m, bringing its total domestic gross up to $159m and its worldwide total to a hugely impressive $476.7m.
The latest instalment from Marvel Studio's enjoys a second week as the No.1 movie in North American cinemas, earning $41.4 million.
Marvel's latest film adaptation, 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', is still the main choice for cinemagoers in North America as it continues to reign No.1 at the Box Office after its record breaking opening last weekend.
Chris Evans returns in the starring role as the 'Captain'
The sequel to 2011's 'Captain America: The First Avenger,' and the ninth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe earned an impressive $41.4 million in its second weekend of release, which now brings the film's domestic earnings to a total of $159 million.
Is another film capable of knocking 'The Lego Movie' off the number spot for highest-grossing movie of 2014? We think so...
The Lego Movie is sitting firmly atop the highest grossing movies of 2014 list, having raked in over $410 million. The animated film has been a huge hit with cinema goers and critics, although we’re not even half way through the year yet, there’s still time for it be knocked off the top spot.
The Lego Movie is currently the highest grossing movie of 2014
It looks as though Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which has only been on the big screen for a couple of weeks, could easily come along and steal its crown. It’s already taken over $308 million at the box office, which sounds impressive but still leaves it at the number three spot, $16 million behind 300: Rise of an Empire. There’s still time, Captain America.

There's one more Cap movie coming. In other news, still no Black Widow solo flick.
Attention Marvel fans! Captain America 3 is happening! It’s happening soon, in fact, as Marvel have just announced a release date for the third film. Who knew Cap could become such a global superstar! Given Captain America: The Winter Soldier’s record breaking box-office success, the studio has announced the first Avenger’s return for 2016. Marvel will release the as-of-yet-untitled Captain America 3 on May 6, 2016, according to Deadline. Fanboys and girls need not wonder why that date sounds familiar – this is also the release date for another high-profile superhero flick, DC’s Batman vs. Superman, the final title for which is alsp TBA at this point.
Who wouldn't want more of this?
If that’s not a challenge that Marvel have issued there, we don’t know what is. But it looks like the studio can afford to. Unlike DC, who only have one movie from their potential franchise released at this point (and a not-too-successful one at that), Marvel have been cranking out Avengers flicks since 2004 and frequently reaching the billion dollar success mark with them.

The first trailer has been released for Lucy, the brand new thriller from French director Luc Besson and actress Scarlett Johansson. The Avengers star takes centre stage as the titular character in this gritty, futuristic, sci-fi adventure and plays a drug mule who finds herself accidentally given extraordinary superpowers by the bag she's transporting.
Scarlett Johansson Plays A Drug Mule Who Finds Herself With Superhuman Powers In 'Lucy.'
After being kidnapped in the Taiwanese city of Taipei, Lucy finds herself in a dangerous situation where a bag of mysterious chemicals has been placed in her stomach. As the drug leaks out she is gifted with superhuman strength and a massive intelligence boost, which enables her to defeat her captors.
This is the Marvel movie that divides the fans from the casual filmgoers, as the movies become more like a TV series in which the world is saved from disaster every week. While it's shot and acted to an unusually high standard, the script treats the characters like pawns to throw at each other rather than real human beings. So while it's hugely entertaining, there isn't a hint of actual tension or suspense.
Now settling into life in the 21st century, super-powered soldier Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and his cohort Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) are horrified when the mysterious, seemingly indestructible Winter Soldier launches an attack on Shield Director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) on the streets of Washington DC. Suspected of being on the wrong side, Steve and Natasha set out to find out what's up, drafting in angry veteran Sam (Anthony Mackie) and his whizzy flying-wings accessory. Meanwhile, Shield boss Pierce (Robert Redford) is carrying on with launching a wildly heavy-handed security system for America.
Marvel show-runner Kevin Feige works hard to make these movies fit loosely into the overarching mythology while standing on their own. But this is the ninth time these superheroes have had to save the world since 2008's Iron Man, and it's getting a bit tired. This chapter introduces a perviously unseen darkness in the evil agency Hydra, but the real innovation here is the use of gritty Bourne-style direction for the lucid action sequences.

It is only a matter of weeks before 'Captain America: The Winter Solider' is released in theatres across the globe, and fans of the Marvel Comics superhero are very eager to see how 'Captain America' deals with his new foe, the unanticipated, highly dangerous 'Winter Soldier'.
Chris Evans reprises his role as 'Captain America'
Like the other Marvel Studio instalments since 'The Avengers' (2012), this sequel occurs two years after the events in New York City, and although 'Steve Rogers' is still struggling to adjust to the modern world, he is still heavily involved with 'S.H.I.E.L.D', even if he isn't convinced with certain aspects of their ethics.
Steve Rogers has awoken after a deep sleep lasting 70 years following his fight with Nazi adversary the Red Skull during World War II. Things are a lot different now, however, which is more than enough for him to contend with, but when he is forcibly enlisted in the superhero group S.H.I.E.L.D. by the morally questionable Nick Fury, he soon finds himself in immediate danger once again. Unable to trust most of the people around him, he finds comfort in his S.H.I.E.L.D. cohorts, namely Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow and Sam Wilson AKA Falcon. Together, the group set out to tackle the world's latest threat, but when one member of S.H.I.E.L.D. is targeted and attacked in mysterious circumstances, they start to wonder if they are getting the whole picture. With assassins on Rogers' tail incessantly, he starts to uncover the planet's real menace in the form of the legendary Winter Soldier.
Chris Evans, star of Marvel's 'Captain America', will take the role of Grand Marshal for the 56th annual Dayton 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Feb 23rd.
Chris Evans, who plays 'Captain America' in Marvel Studios' feature films, was named this year's Grand Marshal for the 56th Daytona 500 earlier this week.
One of America's prestigious sporting event will take place next Sunday (Feb 23rd).
The 32 year-old actor's duty will be to put his own twist on the signature command, "Drivers, start your engines."

Something for fans of the Cap to tide them over
This week saw Marvel up the ante by releasing a new trailer for Captain America: Winter Solder. And it’s no accident that USA Today should - a few days later -reveal a new story for the superhero.
Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Released in a comic book format, the new five-issue, Marvel miniseries adventure will be written by trusted steed, Rick Remender. It will be illustrated by Punisher: In The Blood collaborator Roland Boschi.
Following events during World War II and his confrontation with Nazi adversary the Red Skull, Steve Rogers awoke 70 years later to find that the world had changed almost beyond recognition. He is now reluctantly a part of superhero law enforcers S.H.I.E.L.D., led by Nick Fury who more than once makes Steve question the ethics of the group and epitomises the blurred line between good guys and bad guys. There are people he can trust though, namely Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow; a fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. spy who embarks alongside him on a mission to tackle the latest global threat. However, when a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. is attacked, they find themselves in mysterious circumstances and start to wonder if someone's keeping something from them. As Rogers fights off a myriad of assassins, the real threat starts to surface in the form of the Winter Soldier.
'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' is the sequel to 2011's 'Captain America: The First Avenger'. Based on the Marvel comics by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, it has been directed by Primetime Emmy-winning brothers Anthony Russo, Joe Russo ('You, Me and Dupree', 'Community') with a screenplay by collaborative writing duo Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely ('Thor: The Dark World', 'The Chronicles of Narnia', 'Pain & Gain'). It is set to hit the UK on March 28th 2014.
Chris Evans is back as the all-American hero, and the first official trailer for his return was released this week
Captain America: The Winter Soldier had its first official trailer go viral this week (24 Oct.) and whilst it gives us a reasonable look at what we can expect from the the return of Chris Evans as the first Avenger, there may have been certain elements that you could have missed in the action-packed preview.
The Winter Soldier trailer leaves plenty of questions
We get to see plenty of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Samuel L Jackson returning as Nick Fury. In all it looks as though the film has a strong S.H.I.E.L.D. presence, but this doesn't give us a great indication of what the film might offer. As for the potential bad guys, it looks as though Robert Redford might have a few sinister ideas up his sleeve and the masked badass we see here and there might be his accomplice, but what does it all mean?
Since Nick Grimshaw took over from Chris Moyles, the Radio 1 breakfast show has lost 1 million listeners.
Nick Grimshaw may have gained some new fans and listeners since moving to the coveted breakfast slot at the BBC's flagship radio station, but overall, his move to the main slot has seen listener numbers plummet by a massive 1 million people. The drop in numbers gives the high profile spot it's lowest audience numbers in over a decade and has called into question the BBC's commitment to Grimshaw as a DJ.
Grimmy has lost a substantial amount of listeners
The 29-year-old successor to Chris Moyles, who left the Radio 1 breakfast slot last September after 12 years of holding down the morning fort, has seen audience figures fall to the same number as when Moyles arrived in the slot. The audience numbers for the breakfast show, then presented by Sara Cox, were at an all-time low, but were taken to new heights thanks to the popularity of Moyles. However this may not spell the end of Grimmy, as he was tasked with increasing the number of young listeners tuning in to the station, even if that meant sacrificing some of Moyles' older listeners. According to the new figures, compiled by Rajar, Grimshaw brings in roughly 5.58 million listeners through the week.

James Spader has joined the cast of Marvel's Avengers. Spader will be playing the villain in the upcoming 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.
James Spader has been cast as the villain in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Marvel announced Spader will be playing the evil robot set against the Avengers team in the upcoming sequel of the superhero film. Spader is best known for his roles in such television series as Boston Legal, The Office and The Practice.
James Spader has been cast as Ultron the robot.
In Marvel lore, according to Entertainment Weekly, Ultron is a robot intent on acquiring power. His qualities include super-strength, mind control, genius intellect and a coma ray. Considering he has these qualities and happens to be a robot may make this a difficult role to play for Spader. It has not been announced if Spader will be providing the voice or playing the role with the help of motion capture.

Ultron will be the set against the Avengers in the 2015 superhero film. Producer Joss Whedon discussed with an American entertainment website how he humanised a robot with super-human strength and intelligence.
Joss Whedon has chosen Ultron to face The Avengers in the next movie. The hugely anticipated sequel to the 2012 block office sensation is due to be released in cinemas in 2015. Filming of the superheroes film will begin next year. Whedon has discussed how he intends to make Ultron, an omnipotent machine into a character who can interact, effectively, with the superheroes. According to Entertainment Weekly, Ultron is a robot intend on acquiring power, something he will most likely almost acquire before being foiled by the Avengers. His qualities include super-strength, mind control, genius intellect and a coma ray.
Joss Whedon at the premiere of The Worlds End in L.A.
Whedon, speaking to the entertainment website, said "I knew right away what I wanted to do with him, he's always trying to destroy the Avengers, goddamn it, he's got a bee in his bonnet. He's not a happy guy, which means he's an interesting guy. He's got pain. And the way that manifests is not going to be standard robot stuff. So we'll take away some of those powers because at some point everybody becomes magic, and I already have someone [Scarlet Witch, a new character] who's a witch."

Can we legitimately call 2013's Comic-Con a geeky affair?
Comic Con has always been the Mecca of the geek. Whether it’s showcasing the latest superhero movie, a Q&A session with a prominent comic book writer or a season reveal of the latest sci-fi franchise; it’s always been for geeks, by geeks. But what about this year?
Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man
The last decade has seen a rise in popularity of geek culture, culminating in the ever-popular U.S sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, featuring four lovable geeks and their supposedly ‘normal’ neighbor Penny. Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj all eulogize Comic-Con in the show, and like many of so-called geeks who identify these characters, they collect innumerable fantasy and sci-fi object D’art.

Much more involving than the usual hitman thriller, this film takes a deliberately personal approach to its characters that makes it unusually involving. Of course, since it's a film about mafia assassins, none of the characters are hugely likeable. But we're able to identify with them because the cast and crew help us see their souls. And of course, this kind of character brings out the best in Michael Shannon.
He plays Richie, who in the early 1960s has settled down with his new wife Deborah (Ryder) in New Jersey. She thinks his job involves dubbing Disney cartoons, but his projects are actually part of an illicit mob-run porn network. And when local boss Roy (Liotta) asks Richie to work as his henchman, Richie proves to be surprisingly adept at murder. This is mainly because he's so good at compartmentalising his life: keeping his family and work completely separate. But when things with Roy start turning sour, and Richie turns to a rival killer (Evans) for more work, Richie's two worlds begin to collide.
Based on a true story, the film is chilling in its matter-of-fact depiction of a family man who ruthlessly bumps off anyone who falls afoul of the mob. And as the clashes in Richie's life begin to escalate into something personal, the film cranks up the tension to unbearable levels. Shannon is mesmerising in the role, letting us see cracks in Richie's dispassionate surface as he's required to kill friends and colleagues (including Franco in a memorable cameo). So when his wife and daughters are threatened, he's like a tamed wild animal pushed into the corner. We know what he's capable of doing to protect them.

Four celebs drive from Jon O'Groats to Land's End in a pink Rolls Royce, for charity.
Gary Barlow and Chris Evans make an unlikely driving team as they travel up and down the country in a pink Rolls Royce in a bid to raise £1 million for Breast Cancer Care. They are joined by James May, the Top Gear presenter and Brian Cox, the TV science bod. The four celebrities are driving from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise £1 million for Breast Cancer Care.
The FAB1 Million Challenge kicked off this morning, with the celebs heading off in the Rolls Royce, after Chris Evans finished his TV show. They’re expecting to finish in Scotland at about 4am on Friday morning (April 19, 2013) according to the Metro and they’ll be stopping off in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow. The Take That singer, Gary Barlow, said: “If we can raise £1million it will be amazing. The car is incredible. I can’t wait to drive it, I’ve been designated as the tour chef and I’m going to dig my camping stove out, give it a dust-off and bring some food with me. I’m hoping along the way we get lots of support from the country.”
The fundraising idea was thought up by Chris Evans, who explained that they plan to use the car after the trip to continue raising money for the charity, by making it available to hire. “FAB1 Million aims to raise a million pounds for breast cancer, it’s as simple as that,” explained the radio DJ. “You can hire the most famous Rolls Royce in the world as the icing on the cake to whatever special event you are attending, knowing that you are donating to a very worthy cause in the process. It’s a win-win situation.”

Richard Kuklinski is a contract killer who has murdered over 100 men for a variety of criminals. He's very good at his job and rarely leaves any traces behind, though his ethics extend at least to a refusal to kill a woman or a child - even if they are key witnesses to a terrible crime. Whilst earning enough as a hitman to live a more than comfortable life, he is a family man with daughters and a beautiful wife who he truly dotes upon. They have no idea about his questionable career and he intends to keep it that way, but with constant reminders that he's not the loving family man he tries so hard to be and ever more dubious jobs being put upon him, he is set to lose everything .
'The Iceman' is the true story of the real Richard Kuklinski who was arrested in 1986 after his prolific work as a hitman for several major crime rings. It has been adapted by Ariel Vromen ('Danika', 'Simple Lies'), who co-wrote the screenplay with Morgan Land ('Simple Lies'), with the story being taken from Anthony Bruno's book 'The Iceman: The True Story of a Cold-Blooded Killer' and the Jim Thebaut documentary 'The Iceman Tapes: Conversations with a Killer'. It is set to hit cinemas on June 7th 2013.

"Cellular" has all the earmarks of a genuinely smart thriller rewritten by a studio-lapdog script doctor who was told it didn't have enough car chases and comic relief.
As originally conceived by Larry Cohen ("Phone Booth"), the film makes cunning use of the titular technology in its plot that follows an aimless beach dude (utterly bland buff-boy Chris Evans) whose cell phone is on the receiving end of a desperate call for help from a kidnapped woman (Kim Basinger). By tap-tap-tapping together the wires of a smashed old rotary phone, she's managed to dial his number at random from the attic where she's being held.
Disbelieving at first, Evans ("Not Another Teen Movie") is soon robbing a cell phone store for a charger (his battery is low) and stealing cars to drive like Andretti through downtown Los Angeles, trying to beat the bad guys to Basinger's son and husband (it's him they're really after) so he can save the day.

If ever there were a genre long overdue for a vicious lampooning, it would have to be the cliché-plagued fantasy factory of the witless teen comedy/romance.
The popular jock, the cruel cheerleader, the arty-dreamy bespectacled girl, her shy geek best friend pining for her love -- these stock characters were glaringly unoriginal and badly acted back when John Hughes cauterized his "Pretty In Pink" formula into the heads of vacuous pubescents in the '80s.
Now the time for reckoning has arrived. A whole slew of central casting pop culture denizens -- and the literally dozens of throwaway flicks they inhabit -- get skewered something fierce in the ribald and relentlessly, no-jokes-barred satire "Not Another Teen Movie."
