They'll be speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia next week, in support of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Chloe Grace Moretz, Lena Dunham and Demi Lovato are among celebrities who will speak at the Democratic National Convention – and the selection has split opinion, to say the least.
According to People, actresses America Ferrera, Debra Messing and Star Jones will also be joining them at the Democratic Party’s convention in Philadelphia next week, where Hillary Clinton will be accepting the nomination to run for President this November.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, 19 year old Moretz made the announcement. “I am so happy to announce I will be speaking at the democratic national convention! #DNC #ImWithHer going to be such a beautiful historic day and I can't believe I have the immense honor of being part of it. Thank you @hillaryclinton!”
‘Girls’ creator Dunham, holding up a T-shirt reading ‘Love Trumps Hate’, referring to Clinton’s Republican opponent Donald Trump, wrote in her own Instagram post: “My soul sister @americaferrera and I are headed to the Democratic National Convention to speak as a team in support of @hillaryclinton. The honor! The thrill! We promise not to copy off Michelle Obama's homework, dreamy as she is ?? #imwithher”

Slate writer Heather Schwedel gave her reaction to the news, concluding that Moretz’s place on the roster, in particular, was deeply confusing. “There's nothing wrong with her exactly, other than the vague air of desperation that encircles her.”
Many Democratic voters on Twitter expressed bafflement at the decision. “If Chloe Grace Moretz is qualified to speak at the DNC then so am I, at least twice over,” one wrote, with another describing Moretz, Lovato and Dunham as “3 of the most insufferable people ever.”
Moretz has already voiced her support for Clinton, telling People earlier this year that women shouldn’t be afraid to vote for her on the basis that men might look at them as being a “strict feminist”.
“Don't be afraid to vote for Hillary just because she's a woman,” Moretz told the publication. “Vote for Hillary for the things that she stands for. Vote for Hillary for what she backs and what she supports.”
