Her run on the UK 'X Factor' may be over, but Cheryl could be set to take a judges’ seat down under.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini may have said goodbye to the ‘X Factor’ in the UK, but according to reports she could be ready to bring her judging talents Down Under. The Sunday People reports that Cheryl could be jumping to the Australian version of the talent show and she may even bring boyfriend Liam Payne along with her.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini could be jumping to the Australian ‘X Factor’.
A source told the newspaper: "'X Factor' UK have given their blessing for the Aussie team to approach Cheryl. They think having Cheryl and Liam on the panel would be a great coup so are trying their best to entice them.”
“It’s at the very early stages at the moment but who knows what could happen. But moving to Oz would be a huge step for Cheryl and Louis, especially so early in their relationship.” Cheryl announced her departure from the ‘X Factor’ earlier this week, saying she wanted to concentrate on her music career.
in a statement, Cheryl said: "I have had such an amazing experience being a judge on the 'X Factor'. I have learnt so much and enjoyed nurturing talent but I’ve missed making music and am excited to be recording again.”
If Cheryl did make the move to the Australian 'X Factor', she wouldn’t be the first former UK judge to appear on both shows. Mel B appeared on the Aussie version, before joining the UK panel in 2014 and Danni Minogue has also sat on both panels.
