However, he admitted he had to learn the happy news via the media.
Cheryl’s ex-husband Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini has spoken about how he discovered that she was pregnant through news reports – but had only good things to say about the pregnancy.
The French restaurateur was married to the 33 year old former ‘X Factor’ judge and Girls Aloud star for nearly two and a half years, although they had been estranged for the best part of a year by the time their marriage was dissolved in October 2016.
In that time, Cheryl commenced a new relationship with One Direction singer Liam Payne, ten years her junior, and recent speculation that she’s expecting a baby with him was confirmed earlier this month.
Cheryl has still not confirmed she is expecting her first child.
Cheryl and Liam first met on the talent show way back in 2008, when Cheryl was a judge and Liam was just a 14-year-old wannabe popstar. After years of friendship, the couple began dating at the end of last year.

Their whirlwind romance has already seen them expecting their first child together, but Liam Payne reportedly wants to go a step further and propose to girlfriend Cheryl as soon as their baby is born.
The 23 year old One Direction star is said to be inspired by the way Cheryl’s former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh’s partner Justin Scott asked her to marry him in the delivery room, straight after they welcomed their first son Bobby back in 2014.

Controversial she might be but Cheryl's a fan of Honey G
This year's series x factor has been one of the most controversial of the entire show and that's thanks to one contestant and one contestant alone: Honey G. With claims of a fix from fans and constant support from the judges, the rapper made it through to sing another week after avoiding elimination despite being in the bottom two.

Despite the return of Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole, 'The X-Factor' was unable to beat 'Strictly Come Dancing' in the ratings.
It is a battle that could have perhaps been avoided had either the BBC or ITV backed down and rescheduled, but Strictly Come Dancing and The X-Factor went head-to-head for the first time this year on Sunday, with the dancing reality show winning out. ITV will have hoped the return of Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell would have been enough to pip its rival - airing its first season without Bruce Forsyth - though it wasn't to be.
The return of Simon Cowell was not enough for The X-Factor to beat Strictly
Strictly returned with 8.4 million viewers on Sunday - a 33.7% share of the audience between 8pm and 9.15pm. The X-Factor had to settle for second place, with 7.6 million viewers and a 27.9% share between 8pm and 9.05pm.

'Crazy Stupid Love' equals a UK chart record
Cheryl Cole topped the UK Singles chart last night with her new single ‘Crazy Stupid Love’. It makes the former Girls Aloud star only the third British female solo act to score four UK number 1 singles, along with Geri Halliwell and Rita Ora.
Cheryl Cole, pictured here leaving Radio 1, scored her 4th UK Number 1 single
The single, which features a guest spot from London rapper Tinie Tempah, is the first to be taken from Cheryl’s upcoming album Only Human, scheduled for release at some point in November this year.
The occasion also marks another notable statistic – it means that Cheryl has scored number 1 hits with each of the leading singles from her four solo albums. Platinum single ‘Fight For This Love’ reached the top of the charts ahead of her debut full-length 3 Words back in 2009, as did ‘Promise This’ from Messy Little Raindrops a year later as well as ‘Call My Name’ from 2012’s A Million Lights.
The success of the new song caps off a remarkable few months for the singer. At the beginning of the month she announced her marriage to French restauranteur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, having tied the knot at a secret ceremony in Mustique. Back in March she also announced her return as a judge on the new series of ‘The X Factor’ coming later this year.

Cheryl Cole's personal and professional life could be going better as of late.
The newly married pop-star earned her fourth UK No.1 single on Sunday (July 27th) with her latest track 'Crazy Stupid Love,' featuring fellow Brit Tinie Tempah.
The chart topping song, from her fourth studio album 'Only Human,' is Cheryl's ninth No.1 in total, she previously earned the top spot with Girls Aloud on four separate occasions and once with an appearance on the 2010 charity cover of R.E.M.'s 'Everybody Hurts' for Helping Haiti.

'The X Factor' hasn't even begun, but tensions are already soaring as Cheryl Cole allegedly refuses to sit next to Louis Walsh on the judging panel.
Cheryl Cole is allegedly refusing to sit next to Irish entertainment manager Louis Walsh on The X Factor judging panel this year. Tensions have been mounting since Simon Cowell revealed in an interview that Cole didn’t want Walsh to return to the show, full stop.
Cheryl Cole has refused to sit next to Louis Walsh on the X Factor judging panel
Cowell told OK! magazine: “I want Louis to come back to ‘The X Factor’ - but Cheryl doesn’t.” The Geordie singer and Walsh have failed to see eye-to-eye on various occasions, particularly after she publicly revealed that he was a poor manager to her band Girls Aloud.
Simon Cowell has said he would support his baby son if he chose a career in singing - although he'd be honest with him if he didn't have what it takes!
Simon Cowell has revealed that he would be happy for his four-month-old son to one day enter the entertainment industry. The Britain’s Got Talent judge has given his blessing should baby Eric one day decide to pursue a career in singing, although admitted he would tell him if the ambition wasn't achievable: “If Eric wants to try out being a singer, I would be okay with that. I certainly won’t stop him. But I’ll tell him straight if he can’t do it.” Showing signs that becoming a father really has softened Simon, he did add: “Admittedly, I might not be quite as blunt as I am with some of the contestants.”

The former Spice Girls will judge new talent alongside Simon, Louis and Cheryl.
Mel B has been announced as the new judge who will be joining The X Factor panel for the upcoming 11th series of the talent show. The former Spice Girl, 39, appeared on the show in 2012 as a guest judge and has also been featured on the American and Australian versions of ITV's hit singing contest.
Mel B, AKA Melanie Brown, will be joining returning judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole with the hope that a victor will be chosen from her group of singers. She said she was "so excited" to have been appointed as a judge, in a deal that is reportedly worth £1 million, according to BBC News.
"I've always thought honesty is the best policy when being a judge and that's what I'm going to bring more of this year," Mel said. Cheryl Cole and will.i.am fans can sleep easy, the pair are as good a friends as ever! Although Cheryl has explained her decision not to work with him on her current album.
There was a time when “Promise This” singer Cheryl Cole and Black Eyed Peas rapper/The Voice UK judge Will.i.am were practically joined at the hip. Cheryl Cole looked characteristically stunning at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Foxhunter. Dressed in a Monique Lhuillier gown, the 30 year old singer is easily one of the most beautiful women to attend the festival. Jemima Khan is the latest celeb to take her #nomakeupselfie for Cancer Research UK, but what is it and who else has been getting involved?
For about a week now Facebook and Twitter have both been overrun with selfies of girls wearing no makeup. At first we were all a little confused, but things got increasingly clearer when we realised that the photos were part of what became a viral campaign to raise money for Cancer Research UK. No one is quite sure how the #nomakeupselfie trend started, although it has incredibly raised £8 million (over $13m) so far. Not bad for free advertising that Cancer Research UK didn’t even initiate themselves! The power of social media, eh?

Khloe Kardashian and Cheryl Cole have recently shared who their girl crushes are, which other celeb women have admitted to crushing on other girls?
Come on ladies, admit it, we’ve all had a bit of a girl crush at some point. There’s nothing sexual in it, it’s more that we want to devour the subject of the crush whole and somehow morph into them and take over their lives. OK, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, it’s more of an admiration/jealousy thing and with so many gorgeous celebrity women out there it’s hard not to develop a little crush every now and then.
Jennifer Aniston is the object of Cheryl Cole's desire
Even celebrities develop girl crushes on each other (that must be a little awkward if you then bump into said crush at an awards show or charity event...cringe). Recently Cheryl Cole tweeted the hashtag #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) along with an photograph of Jennifer Aniston and the word ‘oh Jennifer’.
As Kimberley Walsh becomes the second member of Girls Aloud to jump on the baby train, we dig up some facts on the former Girls Aloud singer.
Earlier this month former Girls Aloud member Nadine Coyle gave birth to her first baby daughter. Nadine announced to her Twitter followers on February 10th: ‘I am overjoyed to let you know that our little girl is here. She is amazing! I love being a mammy & will fill you all in soon’ and has since not updated her profile, clearly she is taking time off from social media to enjoy spending time with the new addition to her family.
Kimberley has announced she is pregnant with her first child
Fellow Girls Aloud alumni, Kimberley Walsh, took to the social media site this afternoon to let fans know that she will also become ‘a mammy’ (Nadine’s words - not Kimberley’s!) before the year is out. Kimberley tweeted this afternoon: ‘Justin and I are so happy to let you all know we are having a baby!! Couldn’t wait to share our lovely news with you all’. Her best friend Cheryl was also overjoyed by the news, taking to Instagram to congratulate her former band mate.
The pop star was reportedly snubbed after making a pass at a young clubber in South Africa.

The 'X Factor' band will go their separate ways following the London concert on Sunday night (22 Dec.)
JLS announced this year that they were to separate and head out on their own separate ventures, announcing their last ever run of performances along with the news of their split this summer. Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams and JB Gill performed to over 20,000 fans at the O2 Arena in London as they said goodbye to their fans after enjoying one of the best success stories The X Factor has offered to date.
The boys played for one last (hopefully not) performance on Sunday, 22 December
It was an emotional night, but one that didn't lack the excitement and expression of the JLS performances of old. Among the thousands of screaming fans singing along in person for the last time, the boys also performed to a number of famous faces who didn't want to miss out on saying goodbye with the JLS boys. One Direction's Louis Tomlinson was there with girlfriend Eleanor Calder, as was Marvin Hume's wife and The Saturdays member Rochelle Humes. Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, who was on the judging panel in 2008 when the boys were first discovered, was also there, Instagramming a picture of the eventing with the caption: "Soooo proud of these boys ! Pop star Cheryl Cole has won a considerable pay-out from the producers of The X-Factor USA, who sacked her after filming just one episode in 2011.At the time, Simon Cowell refused to confirm the reasons behind Cole's departure, though speculation suggested she was removed over fears the American audience would not understand her Newcastle accent.

The Geordie singer won an undisclosed fee, said to be in the millions, for her dismissal from the talent show
One-time The X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been handed a hefty sum by producers of the show as compensation for her speedy dismissal from the series early in its first season. The Girls Aloud singer was fired from the show after producers began to worry that American audiences wouldn't be able to understand her thick Newcastle accent and her contract was quickly terminated, without warning.
The X Factor has since hired another ineligible star to step into Cheryl's place, Paulina Rubio
As reported by the BBC, Cole appeared in only one episode of the show before being replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, who was initially signed on to serve as the show's host. Earlier this year, Cole sued the producers of the American Idol spin-off, Blue Orbit, for $2.3 million, citing loss of earnings resulting from her sudden dismissal from the series so early on. Cheryl had signed a two season contract before the show began, promising her a salary of $1.8 million for Season 1 and $2 million for Season 2. In her lawsuit, Cheryl also ask to be reimbursed for any expenses she may have had during her stay in Los Angeles, including her wardrobe and stylist for the show and living expenses, including food and accommodation, as well as interest, legal fees and "further relief as the court may deem just and appropriate."

The boys topped the poll of richest Britons under 30, with a massive worth of £59.33 million between them.
One Direction really do have everything after all. In a recently compiled list by Heat Magazine, the boy were revealed as the highest earning entertainment stars under-30's in the UK, with a combined worth of almost £60 million. Individually, the boys would be placed just outside the top ten, however when their wealth is combined they come out on top by a narrow margin.
Young, successful and very rich
Last years top spot holder, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, was ousted by the combined earning power of the mega-successful boy band, who have an estimated worth of over £12 million each. The boys were included to the list as a joint entity because most of their earnings have been made as a group, rather than through independent ventures. Narrowly missing out on reclaiming his top spot for a third time, Radcliffe came in second this year with £56.19 million. Something tells us that the Kill Your Darlings actor isn't losing too much sleep over being ousted from the top spot.

Cheryl has been rejected from a judging job on The Voice after being sacked from The X Factor.

Emeli Sande is academically decorated.
Emeli Sande has been awarded an honorary Doctor of the University degree by the University of Glasgow. The singer received the prestigious honour for her outstanding contribution to the music industry, reports BBC News.
Sande’s degree will no doubt sit proudly next to her other academic achievement – an intercalculated degree in neuroscience from the same university between 2006 and 2009. Professor John Briggs, Clerk of Senate and Vice-Principal of the University of Glasgow, said: “The University of Glasgow is very pleased to recognise Emeli Sande's huge contribution to music, both in the Uk and around the world, by awarding her an honorary degree.”
It’s been a ridiculously successful year for Sande, who performed at both the opening and closing ceremonies at the London Olympics. She has scored three number one singles from her debut album Our Version of Events, which has sold 1.5 million copies in the Uk alone. It spent 66 consecutive weeks in the Top 10, finally dropping out on May 26, 2013.

Derek Hough could be on his way out of Dancing with the Stars.
Derek Hough, the main professional draw on 'Dancing With The Stars,' is likely to leave the show the good and pursue his other ambitions. After picking up the mirrorball trophy for the fourth time - this time with Kellie Pickler - Hough is believed to be considering his role on the show.
"Derek has always wanted to eventually get back to the stage or other kinds of TV projects and even films," a veteran "Dancing" insider told the Chicago Sun-Times, "I know he's had lots of offers. This seems like the right time for him to pursue all that." Though Hough found fame on Dancing With The Stars, he is known outside of the ABC hit show and was thought to be dating British pop-stat Cheryl Cole for a short time. He is the brother of Julianne Hough, the girlfriend of the hugely powerful TV mogul Ryan Seacrest.
Derek is also a big-name on the stage and has appeared in productions of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and played Ren in a West End production of 'Footloose.' Did you know he also played a Hogwarts schoolboy in Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone back in 2001?

Kim Kardashian has come under some harsh, if inexplicable criticism for her pregnancy weight gain recently, but everything is ok, because Cheryl Cole came to her defense. The former Girl Aloud and current solo artist took to her WhoSay page to express her respect for the future mother: “Hi Gorgeous lady!” Cole, 29, wrote. “Just wanted to send you a tweet to say I think you are an incredibly beautiful woman inside and out. I can only imagine how tough it is to be heavily pregnant and feeling extremely vulnerable on top of some of the daily criticism you take! I admire your tenacity and send you my best wishes with the rest of your pregnancy.”
The eldest Kardashian sister responded soon after, expressing her gratitude and sharing her own positive message. “Your message really touched me! Thank you so much for the support and positivity!” she wrote via Twitter. “It’s so important for women to feel confident and at peace during this amazing time! Your sweet tweet really made me smile!” It’s fairly unusual to see so many positive vibes floating around the internet lately, but it is certainly a welcome change. However, if you feeling that this may in fact be a sign of the coming Apocalypse, fret not. The next celebrity feud is always just around the corner.
Obviously the pregnancy hasn't made Kim give up on her style.
Adele's head and shoulders above the rest of the field in Sunday Times' rich list of young musicians
At 24 years old, Adele could definitely be said to be “doing alright for herself.” With enough awards on the mantelpiece to tumble the sturdiest of fire surrounds, Adele has also been announced as the richest young musician (under 30) in the UK, with an estimated fortune of around £30 million. Whilst you’re no doubt busily pondering what you would do with that much money, if your bank account was £30 million in the black, allow us to share the fortunes of some other UK pop stars.
Cheryl Cole is second, though there’s a significant gap between the two, with a fortune of £14 million, and Leona Lewis. The singer Katie Melua is worth £12 million, apparently, which must mean she’s been really savvy with her investments, surely, because we can’t remember the last time she experienced any serious chart success. Florence Welch seems to be onto a nice little earner, too, with £9 million in the bank. The One Direction lads have a tidy collective fortune of £25 million – that’s around £5 million each. Not bad when you’re still in your teens, eh.
Even Adele would be weeping with joy, however, if she had the fortunes of the UK’s real big guns at her disposal. Sir Paul McCartney and his partner Nancy Shevell have a combined fortune of a staggering £680 million. For the record, we reckon that Paul brought most of that to the relationship with him. Like, £679.9 million of it.

There were tears all-round at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Wednesday as Girls Aloud called time on their hugely successful career.
Girls Aloud have officially called time on their stunning career in pop music after playing a final show in Liverpool on Wednesday evening (March 20, 2013). The show at the Echo Arena capped a 12-date sold-out farewell tour in the UK, following ten hugely successful years together for the girl group. "We have now come to the end of our incredible time together," read a tweet on the band's official account.
Girls Aloud formed after appearing on reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, going straight to No.1 with their debut single 'Sound of the Underground,' and easily seeing off the competition from hapless rival band One True Voice. The group, made up of Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts, achieved a string of 22 consecutive hit singles, including four No.1's. Cole - the most successful of the group - tweeted after the Liverpool gig, "I love you @GirlsAloud fans so so so so so much! You have given me everything!" adding, "To the people that haven't been able to make it, for whatever reason, we feel your support regardless and have done for 10 yrs."

The X Factor will be transformed for the theatrical stage in a show set to hit in 2014.
With Harry Hill at the helm of the script for The X Factor musical, it could have been a truly terrible concept if it weren't for his injection of intelligent comedy. Expeced to be a mocking parody of the show and its most iconic characters, Hill described the desired approach to the show as "at times scathing, without being cynical."
The story is about an 18 year old girl called Chenice who is completely oblivious to the X Factor due to her Grandfather's iron lung which blocks ITV's signals... that's as much as we know. However, one can assume that she stumbles into an audition, is either incredible or terrible and an adventure ensues. Sound about right?
Managing director of Stage Entertainment UK, who are co-producing the play, Rebecca Quigley, said that it's going to be "quite a wacky big show." It will feature 19 new songs and recognizable personalities from the well loved series, including Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell, plus "others you might recognise, but who have different names."

"Sorry Cheryl. There was no romance with Harvey - we got it wrong," reads its front cover apology, which carries on inside the mag. "Although we have seen several hundred emails, written over a six-month period, apparently between Cheryl, her mother and Michael, we are now satisfied that the emails from Cheryl and her mother are not genuine.” Cole took to twitter at the time, posting to HArvey: "Was this 'relationship' happening in your head @harveyofficial?! Are you smoking something?" Bemused, Michael Harvey Jr emailed back saying she’d been ringing him!

Ashley Cole’s new partner is apparently a “bisexual ex-topless model,” with such a high sex drive that her friends call her a nymphomaniac. Anna Kelle, star of the MTV reality show 'The Valleys,' met Ashley (Cheryl Cole’s ex) through Twitter and they’ve now been dating for a couple of weeks. On the weekend, the pair of them were reportedly spotted partying in London’s upmarket Chelsea Harbour, where Chelsea were celebrating a 4-1 win over Wigan.
The Sun reveals that Ashley and Anna visited a shisha bar in Knightsbridge, before they met up with friends and headed to a club at the May Fair hotel. One eyewitness told the paper “They looked smitten and were whispering into each other's ears.” Another told them “They were in a corner snogging like teenagers. They were kissing and cuddling and laughing and Ashley was playing with her hair. He seemed besotted.”
It doesn’t seem as though the couple, both 32, will be making any efforts to keep their relationship under wraps, Anna posted on Twitter after their night out “London fun with Ashley x” and later said “Amazing time in London.” She’s currently filming a series in Wales and Ashley was gentlemanly enough to drive her back to her home city of Cardiff.
Cheryl Cole became a Christmas DJ for the night on Thursday (December 20, 2012), spinning records at London's Rose Club with boyfriend Tre Holloway. According to the venue's official Twitter page, Cole "set the club on fire" during their weekly Hip Hop night.
According to The Mirror, Cheryl rocked MC Hammer-style leather trousers with a baseball jacket, while Tre opted for a leather jacket and red sneakers. After their successful DJ set, the couple continued the party back home, cracking open a bottle of mulled wine. Posing with a lily (also the name of her assistant Lily England), Cheryl told followers, "Me, my Christmas jumper and my Lily hahaha !!!! #5sleeps" adding, "I bet you all thought it was @Lily_England didn't you ??? I'm sooo funny !!! Hahaha #YouLittleMugs LOL at myself#TooMuchMulledWine" Yes Cheryl, definitely too much mulled wine. Definitely.
The Girls Aloud star has enjoyed a pretty good 2012, after a disastrous 2011 that included being axed from The X Factor USA and ending a reported reconciliation with ex-husband Ashley Cole after he was linked to a string of women. 2013 is going to be a big one for the singer, who will perform with Girls Aloud on a sold out UK tour.

It was a night where Girls Aloud were supposed to mark their comeback in style with a glittering opening performance at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena in London; yet since the girls have been away on individual endeavors the landscape of British pop music has changed somewhat and the five-piece were surprised to find themselves eclipsed by, among others, The Wanted - fresh from a jaunt supporting Justin Bieber in the USA - Calvin Harris and Example, among others.
Cheryl Cole is reported set to sue the X Factor USA bosses for a fee believed to be $2.3 million following her dismissal from the show last year, TMZ has reported.
Cheryl's axing from the show came before the first season of the US version of the X Factor even went to air, but that hasn't stopped the Geordie from demanding more than $2 million from the show's producers; the fee that she would have been paid had she been kept on board.
As TMZ have revealed, Cheryl signed a 'Pay or Play' contract with the show's production team at Blue Orbit Productions that promised her $1.8 million for Season 1 and further $2 million for Season 2, regardless of whether she appeared on the show or not. The Girls Aloud singer also claims that the producers also promised to pay for expenses too, which is why she is asking for $2.3 million rather than the $2 million she was allegedly promised. As of yet, no one from Blue Orbit Productions has given word on their stance on the lawsuit.

In potentially worrying news for Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole has flown to Los Angeles for showdown talks with Simon Cowell about returning to x factor. The show has been blighted by poor viewing figures, poor acts and a pretty appalling judging panel this year and Cowell is ready to bring back the Girls Aloud star.
It's thought that either Cowell himself or Cole must return to the judging panel for the show to regain any sort of credibility. Gary Barlow hasn't made the grade as head judge, while Nicole Scherzinger doesn't appear to be gelling with the British public. Louis Walsh is never going to leave, so there's little point in even speculating. Anyway, it's likely that either Nicole or Gary will leave at the end of the current season, paving the way for Cheryl to get back into the hot seat. The Geordie singer arrived at Simon Cowell's Los Angeles mansion at 8pm on Wednesday (November 28, 2012) and stayed for three-and-a-half hours, according to the Daily Mirror. It is thought the two were discussing Cheryl's return to X Factor, which Cowell sees as a way of reinvigorating the ailing show. The meeting comes 18 months after he sensationally sacked Cheryl from the US version of the singing show after just a couple of weeks of auditions.
In his recent biography, Cowell he admitted falling for Cole during their time working together. The music mogul, 52, told friends he was "mesmerised" by Cheryl, adding, "I would have liked an affair with her. I felt like a mouse being played with by a beautiful cat." Bit weird.

Cheryl Cole is reportedly mulling over a deal that would see her become Britain's answer to Oprah Winfrey. According to the Daily Star, the Girls Aloud star has been offered a lucrative contract to host her own chat show on Sky1, starting next year.
A member of Cole's team explained, "Sky1 are desperate to get Cheryl to sign up.They've been in talks for a while and believe they will have wrapped up the deal within the next month. They think she could be the UK's Oprah because of her reputation as the nation's sweet-heart and are willing to pay big bucks to get her on board." Well, that's all fine and dandy, except, Winfrey has a considerable talent for connecting with her audience and getting the best out of her subjects, does Cheryl? Her people certainly seem to think so, with the insider adding, "They want the show to be emotional and confessional, not just another run-of-the-mill celebrity show." A source added, "Cheryl's people think she would come across brilliantly."
The television talk show is a risky market, especially in the UK, with several notable presenters failing spectacularly in the discipline. Davina Mccall was easily one of the most popular presenters around when she began hosting chat show 'Davina' in 2006, though BBC executives gave her the boot within two months.

The members of One Direction have displaced the likes of Adele, Cheryl Cole and Leona Lewis in the annual list of Britain's richest under-30s. Though we've no idea how Heat magazine managed to get hold of the bank details of the X Factor stars, they've apparently earned a combined £26.33 million since arriving on the pop music scene.
It means Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik are in at No.5 on the list - which seems slightly unfair to those relegated this year. Anyone can lump five very rich people together and say they're a collective moneymaking outfit, watch us. Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Brad Pitt. Anyway, the rules seem to have been bent for the young pop-stars, who knocked Rupert Grint out of the No.5 spot (though Grint teamed up with Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson would be another matter). It was in fact Radcliffe who continued to dominate the chart with a net fortune of £53.33 million. Robert Pattinson moved up to No.2 with £38.73 million, while Keira Knightley was No.3 with £32.7 million.
One Direction become worldwide stars after their debut album Up All Night topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. Their second record Take Me Home is scheduled for release on 12 November 2012, once again through Syco Records.
To celebrate the success of her tour, Geordie lass Cheryl Cole put on a fairly low-key party for her boyfriend Tre Holloway, plus closest friends and family, in a brand new, yet to be opened club and bar in Newcastle, called Bar Livello, on Dean Street.
On the final night of her two week 'A Million Lights' tour that ended at the Newcastle Arena, Cheryl got her new boyfriend up on stage for a quick dance, before then heading off to her private party, in a Rolls Royce. Hundreds of fans waited outside the venue, for just a glimpse of the former X-Factor judge and her gorgeous boyfriend.
On arrival the pair got stuck into drinks and Cheryl introduced Tre to all of her friends and family. One source told the Mirror that "Tre was happily chatting with Cheryl's friends and family. Although he was by Cheryl's side for most of the night, he was a big hit with everyone, he fitted right in." Cheryl has stayed very close to her family throughout her career, the source added "She looked so happy. It's a big deal for Cheryl to let someone in like that, and the fact that he got on so well with all her family really means something to her."
Girls Aloud have released a teaser for their upcoming video, set to be released this Friday. The trailer shows the five ladies walking away from the camera and cuts off just as they are about to turn. The new video comes following the announcement of the girl group's long awaited reunion after years of separation. Preparation for the long awaited Girls Aloud reunion is in full swing and the five members are about to make a big announcement to fans on YouTube this Friday.
According to Digital Spy, Cheryl, Nadine, Kimberly, Sarah and Nicola will also be releasing a Greatest Hits album next year, followed by a UK tour, which might turn out to be their last.
The Girls Aloud official website has been relaunched as part of the promotional effort. It features a ten day countdown to the release of the new single "Untouchable".

It has long been expected that the reason behind the girl's demise in 2009 was down to the competitive nature felt between the two girls, and now Cheryl has come out and admitted that that was the reason behind the split, but it was completely down to Nadine and had nothing to do with her.
The revelation comes from her new book Cheryl: My Story, in which the singer says that the whole group knew that the band's time was just about up when Nadine refused to join the girls to the 2008 BRIT Awards, despite being up for the award for Best Group. Cheryl also reveals in her book that it was no secret that Nadine has trying to break America as a solo artist, and she even brought her own tour manager on tour with the rest of the girl on their last tour.

Cheryl Cole could be heading back to the UK X Factor permanently, and in further surprising rumours she could be taking her good friend Will.i.am with her. The rumours come in spite of the fact that Cole and show boss Simon Cowell have a rather frosty relationship these days, whilst Will.I.am is currently contracted as a voice coach on rival BBC show The Voice.
Despite those slight obstacles, Cowell is apparently keen on the idea, given that ITV are getting alarming slumps in ratings for the new series of the show. According to The Daily Mirror, the show has lost three million viewers since last year, and the mogul is already thinking ahead for solutions in how to arrest the slide for next season. The pair would cost at least $3 million, but according to an insider, "We need to do something dramatic and this would be a coup. It would give us the best judging line-up in X Factor history."
Cole has returned this season already, albeit just in a mentor role, but she's still remembered fondly for her judge's run in the UK. Those on the way out may well be Gary Barlow and Nichole Scherzinger should such a move happen. The belief is that Will.I.Am - good friends with Cowell still - would be able to convince Cole. "Will would be the best person on the planet to persuade Cheryl that one last hurrah could be fun" the insider said. "Though we realise it would be expensive."
As part of her recent autobiography, singer Cheryl Cole discusses her brother's reaction to the news that his biological father was not who he thought.
Cheryl Cole has spoken about the time when her brother discovered that her father was not also his. She describes her brother as being like a "crazy person" after making the discovery that his biological father was not who they thought.
In her biography, 'Cheryl: My Story', Cole explains the revelation at her family home in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northern England, by saying: ''My brother Andrew had burst in the front door in a terrible rage. I'd never ever seen him in such a state and he started ranting and raving at my mum and dad."
She continues to say ''They looked really worried and my heart started beating super-fast. 'I'll explain it,' mum said. Her eyes looked sad and she had deep frown lines in her forehead. Dad had gone all quiet, which panicked me. The atmosphere felt chaotic. 'Is dad my real dad?' Andrew screamed in my mum's face. I swear the clock stopped for a second. He said someone told him in the street that my dad wasn't his real dad. Andrew was going so berserk that he looked like a crazy person. But however mad he looked, this was sounding horribly realistic.''
'I loved you so much but you never gave a f**k.'
Hardly the kind of language one would expect to hear from the girl dubbed the nation's sweetheart. But then it's probably fair to say Cheryl (nee Cole/Tweedy) isn't exactly renowned for having a way with words. In the decade since Girls Aloud shot to fame via reality television show Popstars: The Rivals, she's become something of a household name in her own right, whether it be as a judge on subsequent televised talent shows or for the profile marriage then break-up with Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole. In the meantime, she's also been awarded numerous 'Woman of the Year' accolades from the likes of FHM, Cosmopolitan and Heat Magazine while releasing two multi-platinum solo albums along the way. Not bad for someone considered to be the weakest singer in said aforementioned girl band.
Of course, it's easy to be cynical where someone with the media persona of Cheryl Cole is concerned. Dogged by allegations of racism culminating in an assault charge at the outset of her career with Girls Aloud, controversy hasn't been far behind her ever since. Even as the seemingly untouchable darling of The X Factor judging panel, a public spat with Simon Cowell saw her removal from both the UK and US versions. Despite initial suggestions her career could be in jeopardy as a result, Ms Cole has managed to dust herself down, heal the wounds of time and return to the studio, admittedly with more than a little help from an impressive cast of A-list friends.

The BBC have confirmed that Cheryl Cole will appear as a music guest on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, for an episode set to air in mid-November. The singer will be performing her new single ‘Screw You’ on the show, on what will be a live recording.
Around the same time, Cole (née Tweedy) will also be making a return to The X Factor as part of the judge’s home segment of the show, in which she will offer advice and a few pointers to the budding singers. She will sit alongside judge Gary Barlow as he mentors his batch of hopefuls. The two supposedly hatched the plan for Cheryl to return to the show during the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, for which Barlow served as the curator.
As well as the ITV reunion, Cheryl could also be making another reunion when she joins the BBC show to perform, this time with her former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh. Kimberley is set to be one of this year’s contestants and should she still be in the competition by the time Cheryl makes her appearance, it would mark a potentially emotional reunion between the two. Kimberley recently revealed to the press that it was Cheryl’s influence that made her join the reality show, admitting that she and fellow Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts urged her to do the show.

Meanwhile, Wendy's husband Gary finds himself competing with his own father, who is expecting twins with his much-younger partner Skyler.
