Chelsea Handler has said she blames the Kardashians for Donald Trump’s election victory.

The comedian was an outspoken opponent of Trump on her Netflix talk show and broke down crying on the episode after Trump’s victory. Speaking to Variety, Handler said Trump was treated ‘like an entertainer’ during the election and placed the blame on the Kardashians for turning society into a reality show.

Khloe Kardashian has said she didn't want to do ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ in 2009 and only agreed to take part because mom Kris Jenner made her. Khloe was appearing on Chelsea Handler's Netflix talk show ‘Chelsea’, along with fellow ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ alumni Nene Leakes, Clay Aiken and Lisa Lampanelli, to discuss wether the public is seeing the real Trump during his campaign.

Earlier this month couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton released their first duet together, ‘Go Ahead and Break My Heart’, taken from Shelton’s upcoming album If I’m Honest. Netflix is steadily moving into the original programming market with its very first late show, to be hosted by none other than walking controversy machine, Chelsea Handler. According to the LA Times, the author/comedienne/late-night host has signed a deal with the online streaming service to create a new show. The project is expected to premiere in 2016.

Handler has been working on the deal for quite some time.

Netflix seems like a natural fit for Handler, whose boozy and flirty style has made her a household name. Handler is the author of several semi-autobiographical books, including the 2008 Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, 2011’s Lies Chelsea Handler Told Me and Uganda Be Kidding Me, published earlier this year.

Chelsea Handler is to be given her own talkshow by Netflix after she leaves E!'s Chelsea Lately in August. The 39 year-old comedian and TV host will begin to host her new show in 2016, the online streaming service announced today. The move signals another landmark for the company as its first original talkshow.

"If I was going to continue working in this industry, I knew I had to do something outside the box to keep myself interested," Handler says in a statement. "I wanted to sit with the cool kids at lunch so I approached Netflix to make sure they were as cool as I thought they were, and when I confirmed my suspicions, like with any other future lover, I made my move.

"I'm more excited than I've been in a while, and the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I've sat down with in ages. No offense to the Shahs of Sunset" she added.

When Chelsea got up during one of her court ordered classes to retell the tale of how she landed with a DUI on her record, her classmates responded with overwhelming laughter and thus an idea for a career in comedy was born. After honing her craft around clubs, she eventually landed guest appearances on ‘The Bernie Mac Show’ as well as being one of the ‘Girls Behaving Badly’, a part sketch part hidden camera show which ran from 2002-2005.

The 39 year-old TV personality will walk away from E! as the host of 'Chelsea Lately' once her contract expires, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Handler has taken the helm of her own show for the past eight years, debuting in 2007, and remains the only female late-night host on cable and network television.

Reese Witherspoon laughed off a roasting from Chelsea Handler regarding her recent arrest while picking up an award at the ELLE 20th Annual Women In Hollywood Awards.

The talk show host is not particularly known for biting her tongue about uncomfortable subjects regarding her fellow celebrities, but her Legally Blonde actress pal didn't seem to mind as she chuckled at a joke Handler made about her troubles with the law. 'Personally, as a true friend, my favourite project of hers was an overlooked short film that she made earlier this year', she began at the awards ceremony on Monday (October 21st 2013). 'She plays a very inebriated housewife defending her inebriated husband.'

The quip referred to an incident in April when she and her husband Jim Toth were pulled over in Atlanta because the latter appeared to the cops to be over the legal alcohol limit. The Oscar winning actress, rather than wait in the car as she was told, got out and started hurling abuse at the police officer which ended up with her being arrested for disorderly conduct.

The 44 year-old also dismissed the stereotypical earth-loving image of nudists whilst also denying that she is one: "This is absolute B.S.[...] What are we like, collecting eggs naked and walking around the lawns naked?"

Lindsay Lohan has recorded her first TV appearance following her stint in rehab. She filmed Monday's Chelsea Lately and co-hosted the show where she told the audience that she'd "been on a 90-day court ordered vacation."

Lohan was released from rehab on Tuesday, despite rumours that she may need continued therapy, and appeared in good spirits on the show. Lohan was "funny", according to sources speaking to TMZ, chatting away with fellow host Chelsea Handler and guests: Dylan Bruce, Jen Kirkman and Fortune Feimster.

Jennifer Aniston might enjoy the naked life onscreen, but she wants you to know that’s not the case in real life. The actress has been making the promotional press rounds for her latest movie We’re The Millers and one motif has been popping up over and over again has been the rumor that she and husband Justin Theroux enjoy the odd bit of nudism every now and then. Apparently, magazines have been slamming and praising Jen for embracing the nudist lifestyle – news that, besides not really being news, also hold no truth, according to Aniston. This is what the star explained in a chat with pal Chelsea Handler on the comerienne’s late night E! show Chelsea Lately.

Aniston was adamant that the clothes do not come off when she gets home.

"'Jen's started to embrace her curves at home since longtime lover, nudist Justin, has persuaded her to join in on the fun,' " Handler read from a tabloid article. " 'She was hesitant at first but now she finds it extremely liberating and they spend entire days at home without any clothes on and even cook naked.'"

Chelsea Handler and Piers Morgan had a fight? That's what's being reported, but really it's just standard banter. Both Morgan and Handler have their own chat shows, Morgan was visiting Handler's show Chelsea Lately. 

As US Magazine reported, both were in a playful mood, and as soon as Piers walked out on set, before he'd even sat down Chelsea asked him what he was looking at. "You've either had plastic surgery or a makeover, because you look really hot today," Morgan retorted. And the banter continued from there. 

"Oh, you're so annoying. You're so obnoxious - you wonder why everybody hates you!" Chelsea exclaimed. "I specifically covered up so you couldn't look at me and undress me with your molester eyes." Their 'argument' didn't stop there. "Normally when I come on the show you're really hung over in a very unprofessional way," Morgan said, joking about Handler's penchant for alcohol.

Well, it was all in jest, of course, but even though Piers Morgan and Chelsea Handler were just trying to wind each other up they still managed to get some serious digs in at each other. Chelsea Handler returned with the season premiere of her new late night talk show 'Chelsea Lately' on Monday evening (October 15, 2012), calling in a couple of favors to give the programme an added boost.

Handler dipped into her bulging book of celebrity contacts, recruiting Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz to rap, Jennifer Aniston to cry about her recent engagement to Justin Theroux, and Sandra Bullock to strip in the staff showers. Yep, you heard us correctly. In a skit for the show, Bullock and Handler were shown road-toasting the studio's new facilities though the Oscar winning actress had a little advice for the talk show host. After telling her friend to stop calling herself the "white Oprah", Bullock said, "You have a responsibility to be a respectable talk show host. This comes directly from Oprah's mouth to my ear, to my mouth, out of my mouth, into your ear, down your body, out your vagina, up my vagina and out my ass." Nice. The actress also told Handler to stop sleeping with her guests, to which the host guiltily replied, "I don't sleep with that many anymore... just some of the rappers."

Handler's ability to land regular A-listers for 'Chelsea Lately' will be a huge advantage for the E! network as the show begins its new season. Catch it every Monday, at 11pm.

Sandra Bullock and Chelsea Handler, fighting in a shower. Yes, this sounds like a 14-year-old boys late night unconscious, however this is something that actually happened. In a surprise opening for Chelsea Handler's talk show on Monday night (15th Oct 2012), in which Jennifer Aniston was the star guest, Sandra Bullock was seen naked, entering the shower with an already naked Chelsea Handler to verbally (and a little bit physically) abuse her. All in good humour though.

This video comes after last week's horrendous and hilarious rap video from Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz in which they mock her sexual preferences and accuse her of promiscuity. The jovial abuse continued with Bullock's skit.

"The theme of this message is that you are a huge disappointment. You have a responsibility to be a role model - a role model to young girls and gay and questioning youth. And you need to lay off the booze. Lay off the booze. Lay off the booze!" Bullock told Handler, who defended herself, letting Bullock know that she was drinking less lately.

Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz tried their hand at rapping in honour of fellow Hollywood blonde Chelsea Handler. The ladies slammed their friend for her sex life and drinking habits, though it was all done in good humor. While the rap did little for Diaz and Paltrow’s street cred, it was obvious that the actresses do not take themselves too seriously and enjoy a challenge once in a while. Diaz took on the part of a beat-boxer, while Paltrow was spitting lyrics like "You like black guys, white guys, whoever's around. Your bedroom looks like it's a lost and found. We kind of like you because you're blonde like us, but we can't hang with you in public 'cause you drink too much."

Though the starlets themselves are no strangers to heavy partying, the rap hints at some truths around Handler’s party history and contains lines like “Yo, Chelsea. We heard that you got a brand new studio. But we know that you got on TV by being a ho.”

The comedienne is far from just a party girl, however, having built an extremely successful career as an entertainer and TV presenter. At 37, she has performed as a stand-up comedian, acted in numerous works in TV and cinema, and is hosting her own talk show, Chelsea Lately. The 5th season of the show is set to air this autumn on the E! Network in the USA and re-runs of the show are broadcast on E! in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

I'm not sure what's harder to believe, that Gwyneth Paltrow has just turned 40, or that she's duetted on a rap with Cameron Diaz, making fun of their close friend, comedian Chelsea Handler.

Diaz and Paltrow appear on camera, saying that they have heard that Handler is getting a new studio, and then launch into a rap, performed by Paltrow with the beatboxed beat provided by Diaz. They cover a variety of themes during the rap from Handler's promiscuity to her drinking habits and various taste in men with the final line exposing that “50 cent told us you like it rough” amid pelvic thrusts towards the camera.

It's unsure whether the pair intended this ever to reach light of day, or merely wanted to send it to their friend. However, Handler clearly considered the good humored jibes to be a less embarrassing for her than the thrusting would be for Paltrow and Diaz and consequently popped the video online.
