Former child star Charlotte Church has seen die-hard fans walk out of her latest round of gigs - because they were baffled by her new incarnation as a rock singer.
The 26 year old shot to fame as a classical singer nicknamed the Voice of an Angel but reinvented her image as a pop star in her late teens in a bid to shake off her past career.
Now she's taking a third shot at success by performing rock songs at tiny venues across Britain - but older fans have walked out in shock as they were unaware she has relaunched herself.
Church tells rock magazine Q, "We've had some 60/70 year olds who've obviously seen the ads and thought, 'Oh look, the Voice of an Angel is playing down the Dog and Duck tonight.' We've had a few walkouts from the pensioners, it has to be said. But some have stayed too."
