I don’t think my mom could wait any more!”

In April this year, Theron spoke about her experience of motherhood to W magazine. “I do know that choosing to be a mom in my late 30s has been really great for me,” she said. “It’s given me perspective.”

The news comes just over a month after Theron announced that she had split from her fiancée Sean Penn, whom she had been dating for over 18 months. The pair had always been friends, but announced their romantic relationship in December 2013. However, they called off their engagement soon after attending the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Rather awkwardly, the two had to reunite for some publicity photos for Theron’s upcoming movie The Last Face, which 54 year old Penn directed.
