No one can really hold Charlie Sheen responsible for his somewhat strange behaviour last year, mental illness can be a difficult and trialling experience for everyone involved. However, it seems Sheen is taking himself responsible and really is repenting for any hurt or damage he caused by trying to right that enormous Karmic scale, in grand charitable gestures, including a $75k donation to a little girl who's fighting cancer, reports the Daily Mail.

Not long ago he forked out $100k to help Lindsay Lohan pay off her tax debts. Now he's given $75k the daughter of a police officer he struck up a conversation with. During their conversation the officer's daughter came up, Jasmine, and he told Sheen that she had been diagnosed with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma (CR), to which Sheen reportedly replied: 'No parent should have to watch their kid go through that'.

Chilhood Rhabdomyoscarcoma is a cancer that forms in the soft muscle cells within the body, and can occur anywhere. The treatment is long an uncomfortable, and in the USA where medical treatment isn't as readily available for free as in the UK, it's incredibly expensive.

Sheen's stunt double Eddie Braun, rounded the donation off to $100k, with his $25,000 cheque donation, a photo of which reveals that he has a Spongebob Squarepants chequebook.
