Charlie Sheen 's new comedy series, Anger Management has finally been given a release date of June 28, 2012. The series, which is loosely based on the Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler movie released in 2003 will be aired on the FX network. A Reuters report released yesterday (February 28, 2012) revealed that FX will be kicking off their summer comedy season with back-to-back episodes of the new show.
Sheen's behavior appears to have calmed down somewhat since he was unceremoniously shown the door from his previous sitcom Two and a Half Men. He has, however, still managed to ruffle a few feathers, by using images from To and a Half Men to promote his new Anger Management series. Having angered his former colleagues, he compounded the issue by talking to Tmz and telling them that he was tired of pretending that his replacement - Ashton Kutcher - was doing a good job on the show. He later apologized for his outburst, saying "I was disrespectful to a man doing his best. I got excited and threw you into a crossfire." The Anger Management script will centre around an anger management counselor and his two groups of patients.
June 28 has also been announced for the debut date for Russell Brand's new chat show. Also shown on Fox, the show is reported to have been named 'Strangely Uplifting.' Brand's show will air at 11pm and the six-episode series will be filmed before a live studio audience. Strangely Uplifting is the first Us Tv show to be produced by his company, Branded Films.
