Celine Dion has paid tribute to ''great composer'' James Horner.
The 47-year-old singer - who sang James' Oscar-winning theme 'My Heart Will Go On' for 'Titanic' - has honoured the late music legend on Twitter after he died aged 61 in a private plane crash in California on Monday morning (22.06.15).
Celine - who is married to fellow singer René Angélil wrote: ''Rene and I are deeply saddened by the tragic death of James Horner. He will always remain a great composer in our hearts. James played an important part in my career. We will miss him. We offer his family and friends our deepest sympathy.''
Actor Russell Crowe also tweeted his sympathy for the late composer, who wrote the score for 'A Beautiful Mind' in which he starred in 2002.
He wrote: ''My sincere condolences to the family, loved ones and friends of James Horner. #abeautifulmind.''
Tom Hanks' wife Rita Wilson also paid her respects to James, who penned the soundtrack to 'Volunteers' in which she co-starred with the 'Castaway' actor in the 80s.
She said: ''#JAMES HORNER composed the score to Volunteers, the movie that @tomhanks & I did in 1985. Beautiful score. Prayers 4 James and his family.''
Seth Macfarlane also paid tribute, writing: ''Incredibly saddened to hear about the loss of James Horner. I grew up loving his work. He leaves behind a spectacular musical legacy.''
Singer Leona Lewis wrote: ''To work with James Horner was one of the biggest moments of my life. He was such a kind soul, I'm so saddened.''
'Billy Elliot' star Jamie Bell said: ''Devastated about James Horner.''
Sylvia Patrycja, James' personal assistant, first broke the news of his passing on Facebook.
She wrote: ''We have lost an amazing person with a huge heart, and unbelievable talent. He died doing what he loved. Thank you for all your support and love and see you down the road.''
