Cate Blanchett seems to be the latest A-List star who is joining the fight for gender equality, and recently revealed how she is a huge fan of British actress Emma Watson, especially her HeForShe campaign.

While talking with the latest issue of Porter, the Aussi actress couldn't help but gush about Watson, who was appointed as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for women in July, after she gave a passionate speech on being a feminist, as well as ways to counter gender inequality at the U.N. headquarters in September.

"I was so f**king proud of Emma Watson's speech at the UN," Blanchett said to the magazine. "It was brilliant, such an incredible use of her airspace, and really passionate. It was fantastic."

The 'Blue Jasmine' actress also expressed her anger at internet hackers who threatened to leak nude photos of the British actress online as a result of her speech. Blanchett called the threat, which was later revealed to be a hoax, "horrendous, but there is hope."

"I decided I was a feminist and this seemed uncomplicated to me. But my recent research has shown me that feminism has become an unpopular word. Apparently I am among the ranks of women whose expressions are seen as too strong, too aggressive, isolating, anti-men and, unattractive," Watson said during her speech Blanchett is referring to.

She continued, "Why has the word become such an unpopular one? I think it is right I am paid the same as my male counterparts. I think it is right that I should make decisions about my own body. I think it is right that women be involved on my behalf in the policies and decisions that affect my life. I think it is right that socially, I am afforded the same respect as men."
