She and her husband Patrick Kielty announced on Thursday that they're expecting their first child in spring 2016.
Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have announced that they’re expecting their first child next year. The 38 year old presenter of ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’ and her husband – whom she married in 2012 – said they were “so happy” to make the news public.
Deeley tweeted the happy news on Thursday evening (September 3rd), writing: “Exciting news... Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the spring... Lucky us.” It’ll be the first baby for the couple, who married in secret during a ceremony in Rome three years ago.

Comedian and presenter Kielty met his future wife way back in 2002 when they both presented ‘Fame Academy’ together, and they felt an instant attraction from that point, though they remained friends for nearly 10 years before finally going public with their relationship in 2012.

“There was always a little bit of a spark between us,” 44 year old Kielty admitted in a recent interview, “but either she was with someone or I was with someone and by the time we were both single she was in America. It was always one of those things that never worked out.”
Deeley, who first came to prominence in Britain in 1998 presenting ‘SMTV Live’ alongside Ant & Dec and hosting its spin-off music show ‘CD:UK’, broke through in America in 2006 presenting reality show ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’. Her career was then mainly based there, while Kielty's steady career kept him in the UK.
Since then, she’s made guest appearances in a number of TV shows including ‘Life’s Too Short’ and ‘The Simpsons’, and provided CNN’s coverage of the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
