One couple fall victim to the perils of the internet age in this hilarious new comedy.
The red band trailer has been released for the hilarious new comedy, Sex Tape, which stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel as two characters who, as the title suggests, make a saucy home movie. The Jake Kasdan-directed flick embraces the digital age and its related contemporary concerns whilst exploiting the fear of having your most intimate information unstoppably leaked throughout cyberspace.
'Sex Tape' Sees Cameron Diaz & Jason Segel Explore The Perils Of Trying To Spice Up Their Sex Life In The Internet Age.
Guided by the seasoned comic talents of Bad Teacher's Diaz and How I Met Your Mother's Segel, Sex Tape sees the two unite as a couple named Jay and Annie who, after ten years and two children together, decide to film themselves having sex in order to spice up their sex life. The pair try out numerous positions in an extensive, three-hour home movie and collapse, drained of energy.
Watch The 'Sex Tape' Trailer [Red Band]:
Little do they know that whilst they sleep, the iPad uploads the film to Jay's Cloud account. What's more, they realise that all the iPads they gave out as Christmas presents - to bosses, postmen and children - will also have access to the saucy file. As soon as the horrified pair realise what has happened, it's a race against time to track down all the iPads they gifted and find out a way of getting their sex tape out of the cloud.
When They Realise That Their Film Has Been Shared, The Pair Race To Stop The Spread Of Their Sex Tape.
The trailer gives a taste of the hilarity to come as Jay and Annie freak out and go iPad hunting. "It went up to the cloud!" Segel's character shouts. "And you can't get it down from the cloud?" his wife shrieks. "Nobody understands the cloud!" her husband replies. "It's a f**king mystery!" The movie may sound like it could be X-rated, but Diaz has explained that Sex Tape isn't actually as naughty as its title would suggest, and instead is a gigglesome cautionary tale about the perils of living in a world where we're all a little too well-connected.
"The whole movie is lovemaking between the characters," the 41-year-old star told People in March, adding "The crew was awesome and so respectful. It's not a vanity thing. It's about telling a story." "There's such trust [with Jason]," the movie star said of working with Segel. "We both had each other's backs. Our day was, 'My ass is going to be in your face and your package is going to be in my face!' "
'Sex Tape' Will Be Coming To Cinemas This Summer & Fall.
Sex Tape will see Segel and Diaz reunite with their Bad Teacher director, Jake Kasdan alongside co-stars Rob Corddry, Ellie Kemper, Jack Black and Rob Lowe. Sex Tape will be released on the 25th July in the USA and on the 5th September in the UK.
