Veteran rocker Bryan Ferry has tied the knot for the second time, marrying Amanda Shepperd, 29, in a ceremony at the luxury resort of Amanyara on the Turks and Caicos Islands on January 4, 2012. In an intriguing twist, Shepperd is the ex-girlfriend of Bryan's son Isaac, according to Australia's Telegraph newspaper.
A spokesman for the British rocker said the ceremony was "simple" and "private" and it is assumed the nuptials were attending by close family and friends only. Speaking last year to the Mail on Sunday's Live magazine, Ferry discussed the 37 year age gap between himself and brunette Amanda, saying, "The interesting thing is - and I don't want to say the wrong thing in case I get into trouble with my girlfriend - you never really meet people your own age who aren't married.I'm very fortunate that I work in music, where you're in touch with different age groups". Often regarded as one of the more fashionable rock stars of recent times, Ferry's debonair sense of style has seemingly gone hand-in-hand with his supermodel girlfriends, including Jerry Hall, whom he dated for two years. He was previously married to Lucy Helmore, with whom he has four children. His new wife Amanda was absent from the ceremony at Buckingham Palace last year when Ferry collected his Cbe from the Queen for his services to music. He and his Roxy Music band-mates, including Brian Eno, enjoyed a flurry of memorable hits during their career, including Virginia Plain and the dancefloor favorite Love is The Drug.
Ferry's solo career was similarly well-received, particularly his recent Bob Dylan covers album Dylanesque.
