Britney Spears has teased details of a brand new studio album, her first in nearly three years, describing it as “my baby” in a new interview with E! News.

The 34 year old pop queen spoke to the outlet on Thursday (June 2nd). “It’s very exciting… I’ve been working on this project for a year and a half now, almost two years so it really means a lot to me. It’s my baby.”

Spears’ last album, Britney Jean, was released back in November 2013, since when she has been working intensely on her Las Vegas residency. The new interview was conducted on the set of the video for new single ‘Make Me (Oooh)’, presumably the first to be taken from the new record, which is untitled at the moment.

“It’s a little melodic, a little more not so poppy,” she revealed about what her ninth album will sound like. “It’s kind of chill. Very chill.”

Directed by Dave LaChapelle, you can presumably expect to see a great deal of skin in the new video as Britney seeks to flaunt her toned body. She’s posted a series of photos on her Instagram page over the last few months showing off her remarkable figure, and she did so again in a new snap she posted from the set alongside rapper G-Eazy – who is collaborating with her on the new song.

Recently, Spears picked up the Millennium Award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, and performed a breathtaking medley of her greatest hits, reminding the TV audience of her pop prowess back in the day.

Meanwhile, Spears has been mourning the death of her long-time choreographer, Andre Fuentes, at the age of 40. Also a collaborator with megastars like Prince, Beyonce and No Doubt, Fuentes was found dead on Tuesday night (May 31st). He first worked with Spears way back in 1999 on her Baby One More Time tour.
