'Solar' is the debut single from the band Born Blonde, which will be released on July 11th 2011 via Moriarty the Cat Records, a label set up by the band earlier this year. The single will be available as a digital download and on limited edition 7 inch.
Born Blonde formed in West London in 2009 as a side project for lead vocalist and guitarist Arthur Delaney but he was soon joined by friends Tom McFarland (keyboards, guitar, vocals) and Fraser MacColl (guitar, vocals) - Fraser is related to folk songwriter Ewan MacColl (father of Kirstie MacColl) and Bombay Bicycle Club guitarist Jamie MacColl, followed by Joshua Lloyd-Watson (bass) and Yorkshire-born George Day (drums).
The band first found fame supporting British indie band The Kooks in 2009 at Margate Winter Gardens, Bournemouth Opera House and Guinness 'Arthur's Day' celebrations in Dublin.
The psychedelic video for Solar was directed by Josh Lloyd-Watson & Oliver Hadlee Pearch.
