Stars Including Bonnie Raitt And Leon Russell Are Set To Headline An Upcoming Benefit Concert For Their Musician Friend Marty Grebb, Who Is Battling Cancer.
Raitt, Russell and Ivan Neville have signed up to play at the Marty Grebb Benefit Concert - Celebrating the Music of Marty Grebb!, at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California on 27 May (15), to raise money towards Grebb's cancer treatment.
In a statement announcing the benefit show, Grebb "has already undergone numerous cancer-related medical treatments and surgeries, and the charges that are not covered by Medicare have exhausted his ability to pay with his income as a working musician."
Organisers of the event are working with the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund charity, which provides assistance to career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems.
Grebb, 68, is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has worked with some of music's most iconic stars, including John Lennon, Sir Elton John, Willie Nelson, Etta James, BB King and Stevie Nicks.
