A woman who awoke from a five-year coma asked to see Bob Seger in concert.

Evie Branan, 79, made the strange request after she abruptly came out of a comatose state in May 2011 and two years later, her wish has finally been fulfilled as she saw the rock singer perform on Thursday night (10.04.13).

The woman, from Flint, Michigan, told Fox News Michigan: ''My memory started coming back not all at once just gradually.

''But they said when I woke up one morning, the first words out of my mouth were, 'I want to go to a Bob Seger concert,' and what made me say that, I still can't figure out why.''

The nursing home where Evie resides, Willowbrook Manor, helped make her wish come true and even offered her a chauffeur-driven limo ride to the concert in neighbouring Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Michelle Cross, Willowbrook's administrator, said: ''I've never seen this and it was just something that was really touching to me.

''That this lady had lost a lot of her life and she's getting it back, but I wanted to give her what she missed.''

Prior to her coma, Evie had seen the 'Night Moves' rocker in concert five times.
