Blake Lively glowed as she took to the red carpet on Thursday (16th October) and showed off her growing baby bump. The 27-year-old actress appeared at the 2014 God's Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards ceremony in New York.

Lively's appearance on the red carpet comes less than two weeks after she announced, via her lifestyle website Preserve, that she is expecting her first child. This will be the first child for both Lively and her 37-year-old husband actor Ryan Reynolds. 

The former Gossip Girl actress looked stunning in a tan floor length gown, embroidered with white and purple flowers. Lively's golden locks hung loosely around her constantly smiling face and she posed for photographs with one hand on her hip, showing off her growing bump!

Lively expressed her excitement about her pregnancy and how supportive Reynolds is being. Speaking to Us Weekly, Lively explained how she had always wanted to be a mother as she came from a big family. "It's something that I've always wanted ever since I was a little girl," Lively explained. She further added: "I never knew what I wanted to do for a living but I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family, so it was always important to me. So it's just the excitement of that finally being here."

As for how her husband Reynolds is adjusting to this life changing experience, the Green Lantern actress said "he takes pretty good care of me."
