After all the outrage surrounding the Bill Cosby case, the former sitcom star has finally spoken out to the media and, more importantly, his wife. Here’s what Cosby had to say about the rape accusations to the New York Post’s Page Six.

Cosby failed to address the accusations head on and commented instead on the resillience of his wife.

"Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind," Cosby told the publication's Stacy Brown, who noted that he frequently writes for African-American publications.

Since Hannibal Buress’ ominous mention of Bill Cosby’s alleged exploits in a comedy routine, more than two dozen women have come forward to claim that Cosby had sexually assaulted them, with some of the alleged incidents dating as far back as the 60s. Much has been written and said about Cosby's fall from grace since then. However, Cosby refused to address the allegations directly, focusing instead on the way his wife has been handling the situation.

"Love and the strength of womanhood," he said. "Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love."

According to the report, Cosby has been advised not to address the cases in interviews.
