Fact: Rising hip-hop trio Young Fathers have seen off competition from acts including Biffy Clyro, Edwyn Collins and Mogwai to win the 2014 Scottish Album of the Year Award for their 2013 record Tape Two.

Fact: Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro will be among the honorees at the upcoming Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards. The group will be presented with the Royal Albert Hall Best British Band prize at this year's (11) ceremony, which is due to take place in London on 1 July (11). Other stars already announced as prize-winners including Annie Lennox, Tinie Tempah and Status Quo.
