Beyonce Posts Sisterly Instagram Pictures After Jay-Z/Solange Met Gala Fight

Beyoncé is ensuring no one has the wrong idea about her relationship with her sister Solange. The singer posted a series of pictures of the pair together on her Instagram account following Solange’s highly publicised fight with Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z.

Solange and Jay-Z appear to have had a disagreement which ended in blows at the beginning of May. The incident occurred the night of the New York Met Gala on Saturday (3rd May) and Solange appears to have attacked Jay-Z in an elevator at the Standard Hotel. Surveillance footage seemingly shows a tuxedo clad Jay-Z being kicked and punched by Solange before the two security men accompanying the pair forcibly hauled Solange away from the rapper. We’re still not sure what the disagreement was about and, although the pair and Beyoncé have released a statement, they did not allude to the reasons behind the fight.

As Us Weekly reports, the trio made a statement in which they claimed Jay-Z and Solange were jointly responsible and that their family was working through the incident together. The statement read, after they acknowledged the footage was indeed of Jay-Z and Solange that: “the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

Their statement was further compounded by Beyoncé’s posts on Instagram in which she added numerous pictures with her younger sister. In addition to a candid picture showing the two smiling directly at the same, Beyoncé also uploaded an image of the pair hugging evidently after a stage performance.

Solange Knowles seemingly attacked Jay-Z after the Met Gala but the reason remains unknown.
