At the 2016 CFDA Awards on Monday evening all three members of one of the most famous rumoured celebrity love triangles were in attendance, Beyoncé, her husband Jay Z and fashion designer Rachel Roy. It’s the first time the three have been at the same event since Beyoncé dropped her album Lemonade in April and of course all eyes were on the trio to see if their paths would cross.

BeyonceBeyoncé avoided a run-in with Rachel Roy at the CFDA awards.

According to US Weekly, the CFDA red carpet had no drama as Roy opted to sneak in to the event through a side-door. An insider said: "She was one of the only celebs to not walk the carpet.”

Beyonce also kept things low-key, only posing for a few photographs. But she was accompanied by a large entourage which included husband Jay Z, their four-year-old Blue Ivy and her mother Tina Knowles.

Fashion designer Roy has often found herself at the center of rumours about Beyoncé’s marriage, although she has denied any allegations. She first made headlines following the infamous 2014 Met Gala incident, where Solange Knowles was caught on video attacking Jay Z in a lift. At the time it was rumoured that Solange had shouted at Roy before her fight with Jay.

Then when Beyoncé released Lemonade in April Roy’s name hit headlines again, with many thinking she was the ‘Becky with the good hair’, mentioned on the track ‘Sorry’. What didn't help matters was Roy’s Instagram post soon after Lemonade’s release which read: ‘Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. Live in the light #nodramaqueens.’

Roy eventually denied the post was anything to do with Lemonade telling People in a statement: "I want to put the speculation and rumours to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted."

"It was misunderstood as something other than that. There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumours.”

Roy had also tweeted: “I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind,” after facing the wrath of Bey’s ‘Beehive’ fandom on social media.
