Beyoncé and Solange Knowles have been pictured together for the first time since the embarrassing and disturbing bust-up between Beyoncé's little sister and husband Jay Z in an elevator after the Met Gala earlier this month.

Leaked footage showed Solange, who is also a pop star, lashing out at the rapper whilst he shielded himself but did not hit back. The group's bodyguard hit the emergency stop button and hauled Solange away from Jay Z with Beyoncé demurely avoiding the melee.

The Knowles-Carter family have been pictured together in happy photos to reassure their fans that all is well again but Jay Z was a notable absence from last night's Chime For Change event that the two sisters attended together.

At the charity event's one year anniversary in New York, Beyoncé and Solange put the elevator scandal behind them for a good cause and both looked glamorous with white trousers and plunging necklines.

As well as being the first time the sisters have been snapped out-and-about together since the bizarre incident, it was also Beyoncé's first red carpet event too. Any awkward shadows that may have been cast over the appearance was dispelled by the pair's bright smiles and unity in campaigning for a good cause.

The cause of the elevator attack on the 5th May is still unclear as no sound accompanied the leaked CCTV footage. However, the whole family seems fixated on sweeping the altercation under the rug and moving on as a unit since both parties have apologised.
