Beyonce and Jay Z will perform at the Grammy Awards.

The 'Tom Ford' rapper and his wife have been confirmed to appear at the music awards on Sunday (26.01.14), after they were both listed among the star-studded line up for the event in a commercial which aired in the US last night (19.01.14).

Beyonce is not up for any trophies as her latest, self-titled, album was not released when the nominations were announced, but Jay - who released 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail' album - last year is in the running for nine awards.

It is unclear if the couple will appear onstage together, but they have recently collaborated on Beyonce's single, 'Drunk in Love'.

Other performers confirmed for the event include Katy Perry, Lorde, Robin Thicke, Chicago, Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons.

There will also be a collaboration between Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams, while heavy metal band Metallica will perform with pianist Lang Lang.

Also confirmed for the event are Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. The legendary Beatles bass player and drummer - the only surviving members of the 60s group - are both listed as performers and many fans have speculated they could reunite on stage for the first time since 2010.

The 56th annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by LL Cool J and broadcast live on the CBS network in the US from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
