It comes as no real surprise that 15 years on, as the fans of the show are now at the age to be making television, Boy Meeets World sees a (kind-of) return to the small screen, as 'Girl Meets World'.

Although not all of our favourite characters will be returning, there is speculation, according to the Examiner, that Cory and Topanga (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel) who got married in the final episode of the final series back in 2000, will be returning to the sequel series- they're rumoured to be playing the parents of the main character of this new series, aptly titled 'Girl Meets World'. Fishel hinted at the rumours, and Thanksgiving this year may the date to keep an eye out for more news on the series. She said

Unlike many shows, the viewership didn't wane as the show went on, but as the characters reached college age and got married it made sense to end the show where it was. The new show will be showing on Disney, as opposed to ABC on which the original series was aired, and it'll be interesting to see what effect Disney has on the series- especially given that Michael Jacobs, Boy Meets World's creator, has signed a pilot deal, according to EW.
