Ben Affleck is confirmed to play Batman in the 'Man Of Steel' sequel leaving fans disgruntled.

The Hollywood hunk will be replacing Christian Bale as the legendary superhero making him the eighth actor to be cast for the highly anticipated role, but fans want Warner Bros. to reconsider their decision.

Shortly after the announcement ''Better Batman Than Ben Affleck'' began trending on Twitter and a petition urging the American film producer to reconsider began to gather momentum as people don't believe he can live up to the bar former Batman Bruce Wanye has set.

It reads: ''His acting skill is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he won't do the role justice.

''He's not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman. His portrayal of Daredevil was atrocious and he's not remotely close to an action star. Please find someone else.''

Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman thinks Affleck is perfect for the role in Zack Snyder's sequel and his success so far shows his ability to play big parts.

He said: ''We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some.

''His outstanding career is a testament to his talent and we know he and Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this character.''
