However, things are moving forward and – two months after Ben moved out of the family home – he appears to be dating Saturday Night Live producer, Lindsey Shookus.

The first major trailer for 'Justice League' has finally dropped and it tells us a lot about what to expect in the forthcoming DC movie. Following directly on from 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', we meet the majority of the team and the dangers they're set to face.

We see Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) having taken a long journey somewhere, most likely to track down Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) in an isolated fishing village. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is the first to unite with Bruce as he gathers the Justice League, both spurred by the brave sacrifice of their friend Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is a little shocked to be recruited, especially while he's got his own problems to deal with such as his father Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) being in prison.

Trying to remain cool and professional in a cramped room, half-naked with your colleagues and in front of dozens of crew members, cameras and lights… enough to make even the steeliest of nerves falter.

However, Sienna Miller reckons there’s one way to cure this – if both actors approach it with a sense of humour. She was cast opposite Ben Affleck in Live By Night, playing the Irish moll Emma Gould to Affleck’s gangster Joe Coughlin, and spoke at the red carpet premiere about having to film sex scenes for a whole DAY.

Ben Affleck's latest directorial venture is a gangster thriller based on the 2012 novel 'Live By Night' by Dennis Lehane. It's all about a man who decides that he isn't going to live by anyone else's rules anymore and decides to take on a mob boss with the help of the latter's girlfriend.

'Joe Coughlin starts off as a guy who goes to the First World War as a believer [but] he becomes very disillusioned after that war, it was purposeless really', Ben explained. '[He] decides he's not going to take orders from anybody and he's going to become an outlaw. So he takes up a life as an outlaw and lives that way, living by night, for a period of time.'

Ever since they announced their divorce back at the end of June this year, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been spotted together in public putting up a united front for the sake of their three children. They have kept their wedding rings on during these family outings and have even been living on the same property together, albeit apparently in different buildings.

However, a source close to the family has told People magazine on Thursday (August 27th) that Garner is now having second thoughts about their living arrangements. “Jen will always make sure that Ben spends as much time with the kids as he wants, but she is rethinking their living situation. She can't stand the situation Ben has put her and the kids in.”

Ben Affleck has denied the sensational report that he is a new relationship with his children’s ex-nanny, and that he started doing so during a 10-month trial separation period from his now ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Us Weekly reported on Wednesday (July 29th) that multiple sources close to the family had told them that 42 year old Affleck had begun dating 28 year old Christine Ouzounian, a Californian woman he had hired from a Beverly Hills babysitting agency to be a nanny for his three children this spring.

Jesse Eisenberg apparently didn’t enjoy being at Comic-Con, likening his experience at the massive convention to “some kind of genocide”. We know the crowds can be a little forceful, but seriously?

Giving a reaction to this year’s annual sci-fi and comic fest to the Associated Press on Monday (July 13th), the actor made the somewhat questionable remarks. “It is like being screamed at by thousands of people,” he reflected, “I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent.”

A new full length trailer for the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has just hit online, offering fans their best look yet at the upcoming clash between the two comic book titans. Debuting at Comic Con this weekend the trailer was well received by fans who found plenty to talk about including Jesse Eisenberg's menacing Lex Luthor.

Comic-book fans: prepare to cheer, boo - or tell us you already knew - Ben Affleck is expected to be officially named as the director of a standalone Batman movie in which he'll also star as the caped crusader.

Is Ben Affleck going behind the camera for a forthcoming Batman film?

Deadline reports that Affleck is teaming up with DC Comics' chief creative officer Geoff Johns to write the movie, and the script could even be ready by the end of this summer. With Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reaching cinemas in March next year, and the director's Justice League Part One pencilled in for November 2017, it's not yet clear when this new Affleck-helmed Batman title will slot in.

Ben Affleck has revealed he couldn’t quite believe it when he found out he’d landed the role of iconic superhero Batman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The actor will play an ageing caped crusader opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman in the Warner Bros flick, which hits cinemas in March 2016.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly magazine, Affleck said he reacted with disbelief when he found out he’d landed the role. “My first reaction was, ‘Are you sure?’ ” Affleck said. “At the time I was 40, 41, and had just finished Argo, and I felt like ‘This seems like a strange way to get to Batman.’ But Zack convinced me.”

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have revealed that, despite their impending divorce after ten years of marriage, they’ll be maintaining a civil relationship for the sake of their three children.

The Hollywood power couple announced the news of their split on Tuesday (June 30th). Ben Affleck and Matt Damon may be working together again in the future, with reports that they are in negotiations to co-produce a movie about the current scandal within football’s governing body FIFA.

According to a story by The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has emerged victorious in a bidding war for the rights to BuzzFeed investigative reporter Ken Bensinger’s forthcoming book ‘Houses of Deceit’, and is currently speaking with Affleck and Damon to co-produce it.

Frank Miller is going back to Batman. DC have announced that the man behind 1986 classic The Dark Knight Returns is writing a second sequel to his seminal work titled The Dark Knight III: The Master Race, to mark the 30th anniversary of the original series.

Miller will not be working alone on the miniseries and he will be joined by 100 Bulllets and Wonder Woman writer Brian Azzarello. The series is said to consist of eight issues and will be published twice a month, according to a press release by DC.

Marvel's Avengers were out in force in London this week for the world premiere of the sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron. A leaked email exchange between the show's host Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr and Sony chief Michael Lynton, shows the two debated editing out the ancestor after the actor made the request.

As far as publicity goes, the leaked Batman vs. Superman trailer may have worked in the movie’s favour. Sure, the early release meant it sort of clashed with the first look at Star Wars: Episode VII, but then this probably means that the superhero showdown will get an extra day of hype, once the actual, legit trailer drops/is released by the studio for real.

The shaky, second-hand recording of the trailer was only on YouTube for minutes, before being taken down, but it was enough to generate pages and pages of coverage, because, you know, content is kind of like gold for entertainment writers.

The trailer is our first real look at Ben Affleck as Batman - but not quite yet.
