Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby star Joel Edgerton and pop singer Kylie Minogue were among the famous faces who supported the director at the world premiere of his Strictly Ballroom stage show.
The moviemaker has transformed his 1992 film into a theatre musical and he unveiled the show in Sydney, Australia on Saturday night (12Apr14).
Edgerton was among the guests on the red carpet at the city's Lyric Theatre and he praised his former colleague for bringing the dance film to the stage, saying, "I just want to see what Baz has done with the stage version of this. I love Strictly Ballroom, it's just sort of excellent and it's one of the great Australian movies."
Minogue also attended the opening night, along with Australian music mogul Molly Meldrum.
