Basia Bulat has announced that the second single to be taken from her current album 'Tall Tall Shadow' will be 'Wires', released 11th Nov on Secret City Records
'Wires' is indicative of the overall sound of new album 'Tall Tall Shadow', which is out now. Co-produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer Mark Lawson and Tim Kingsbury (Arcade Fire), Basia's rich vocals, which have been described as "full-bodied" - Guardian and "mesmirising" - Q and her folk-roots have been given a make-over with a more electronic sound and also, new to Basia's work and featuring heavily on 'Tall Tall Shadow', is the beautiful sound of the Andean charango.
Basia has always garnered praise for her heartfelt, honest lyrics, leading to SPIN to call her work a "heart-wrecnhching tour de force". 'Tall Tall Shadow' is is no different. In fact it is her most open, soul-bearing record to date. "Writing songs," Basia says, "I've been trying to just get out of my own way - just trying to be truthful with myself about the kind of thoughts and feelings that are coming up."
