Ayda Field is glad she met husband Robbie Williams when he was older.
The actress and presenter was on U.K. panel show Loose Women on Friday, feared if she had met him when he was in his 20s he would have "cheated" on her, as she noted that timing is "one of the most key things" in a relationship.
The pair, who started dating in 2006, got married at his Beverly Hills home in August 2010, when Robbie was in his 30s. Two years later, they welcomed daughter Theodora Rose, followed by a son, Charlton Valentine, in October 2014.
"If I had met him in his 20s, he would have completely screwed it up," Ayda explained. "He would have been off his face, cheating and that's just the tip of the iceberg. We wouldn't be married with kids and really happy."
She added that if she had met the former Take That member in his 20s, the pair would have liked each other but the singer would have eventually "done something daft".
The former General Hospital star also weighed into the debate on age gaps in relationships, following the recent announcement that Johnny Depp, 52, and Amber Heard, 30, are to divorce.
"Couples can work when they're 20 years apart and they can not work when they're one year apart," Ayda said. "More of a danger is when you get together with someone really young, because we all change so much when we're older."
