Tori Spelling recently spoke to People about her and husband Dean McDermott's tightening of their finances, leading some to suggest that the two may have let their earnings run dry.

She discussed how her spending habits have changed dramatically, explaining that she is nothing like her spendthrift self of old. The magazine also stated that Dean had to forego a vasectomy procedure, owing to their ongoing financial difficulties, however McDermott has since come forward to state that the pair are not in any kind of financial trouble.

"Right now things are going well. I have several exciting projects in the works," he explained to Us Weekly. "Could we afford a vasectomy? Probably. Was it a tougher time for us financially? Yeah, for sure. That's just the truth of it—it's the nature of this business."

The 46-year-old head of the family of six went on to say that his and his wife's financial state is constantly fluctuating and at the time of his planned procedure, things were a little worse than they usually are. He explained, "Sometimes things are awesome, sometimes they're just not. But it's about how we tackle things as a couple, as a family. And we do a pretty good job of that."

Whilst the pair may not be enjoying their financial peak at the moment, things are looking up professionally for the former Beverley Hills 90210 star and her family. Tori recently released her new memoir, Spelling It Like It Is, whilst McDermott has been given a hosting job on the show Chopped Canada. On top of this, McDermott's first cook book will be released later this year.
