Seth Rogen is being eyed for the role of Steve Wozniak in the high-profile Jobs movie.
Seth Rogen is the first-choice to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in Aaron Sorkin and Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs movie. Jessica Chastain is also being sought for a notable role in the movie, which stars Christian Bale as the late entrepreneur.
Seth Rogen's casting is being likened to Jonah Hill's [L] role in 'The Wolf of Wall Street'
According to The Wrap, neither Rogen nor Chastain have deals in place but the comedy actor is in talks to play Wozniak, who created the Apple I computer and co-created the Apple II machine in the mid-1970s.
The movie, based on the authorized biography by Walter Isaacson, will not be a straight biopic. Sorkin has confirmed the drama will play out in three long scenes, detailing high profile launches including the first Mac in 1984 and the iPod's debut in 2001.

Though Rogen appears a left-field choice on paper, he actually has plenty of experience in drama and proved himself in both Take This Waltz and 50/50. Most recently, he was on familiar ground, wrapping Sony's upcoming animated movie Sausage Party as well as an untitled Christmas Eve movie with 50/50 collaborators Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jonathan Levine.
More: Christian Bale to play Steve Jobs as Leonardo DiCaprio passes
The casting has been compared to Martin Scorsese's decision to have Jonah Hill play Leonardo DiCaprio's associate in The Wolf of Wall Street, which scored the comedy star an Oscar nomination. Sony has massive plans for the Jobs movie and regard it as a potential awards winner. It certainly has a hugely accomplished pedigree with Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network) as writer, Bale as the lead (The Fighter, American Hustle) and Boyle in the hot-seat (Slumdog Millionaire).
