For the second year running, hip-hop star Pitbull, real name Armando Christian Perez, will host the prestigious American Music Awards on November 23rd, where he will also treat the audience with a performance of a song from his upcoming album 'Globalization.'

Dick Clark Productions, who has produced the award show since its began in 1974 on ABC, made the exciting announcement on Monday (Oct 20th) via a statement from the 33 year-old rapper.

"World, who would have thought Pitbull hosting the AMAs two years in a row," Pitbull said. "The harder I work, the luckier I get. Thank you ABC and dick clark productions for the amazing opportunity - more than anything, let's get ready to have fun. Dale!"

The renowned American Music Award producer Larry Klien has already promised viewers an unforgettable show that will be bigger and better than last year's, which was watched by 12.93 million people.

"Pitbull is a global superstar and multi-talented powerhouse, who delivered one of the most exciting shows in American Music Awards history when he hosted in 2013. This year will be no different," Klein said. "We're working together to create elements of the show that will wow audiences and take the night to a whole new level."

The ceremony will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and Charli XCX joins Pitbull as the other confirmed entertainer scheduled to perform, additional acts are expected to be announced at a later date.
