Lady GaGa probably has some of the best showbiz stories to tell; she’s hung out with Julian Assange, worn meat to parties and argued in public with Madonna. But her hip story is the one that will really make you shudder, as the singer recounts some gruesome truths about her surgery.

See, this hip injury forced Gaga out of some pretty big European dates, leaving fans upset. It’s not as if she didn’t have a good enough reason, though, as you’re about to find out. "My injury was actually a lot worse than just a labral tear," Lady Gaga told Women's Wear Daily magazine this week.

"I had a broken hip." Gaga was told that if she’s attempted one more crowd-pleasing concert, that would be that for her hip, and she’d have to get a replacement – something usually reserved for the 80+ age group.

"But when we got all the MRIs finished, before I went to surgery, there were giant craters, a hole in my hip the size of a quarter, and the cartilage was just hanging out the other side of my hip," she said. "I had a tear on the inside of my joint and a huge breakage."

Well, that all sounds very disgusting and we kind of wish we’d never covered the story now. But in lighter Gaga news, the singer has a cover for her new album, in it, she looks like Madonna, all dressed up in colourful smudged make up. Cheeky Gaga.
